For 17 years, this community favorite was the Lighthouse Cafe before being sold to family friends in 2024 and rebranded as the Lighthouse at the Lock. We’ve refreshed the interior, added a liquor license, and plan outdoor seating in spring 2025, all while keeping the cozy, hometown charm. Serving fresh breakfast, lunch, and dinner—including house-made beef vegetable soup, hearty sandwiches, and creative specials—plus fan-favorite Bloody Marys and mimosas. Friendly service and discounts for first responders, veterans, and healthcare workers make every visit special.

Tasha was an excellent server! The wings are super good the hater bake and ooh mama were definitely my favorite just the wings plain are very good. The wings were only $1 a piece and the cook is next level and did I mention complimentary right out the fryer pork rinds what else could get better

Went for breakfast and I got a burrito that was good just basic ingredients, but the hash browns were not edible. They tasted old and were also on the colder side and crunchy to the point they were stale and you couldn’t chew them like they had been sitting. Eggs came out on the cold side as well and not cooked to proper order. Bacon was okay but other dishes that my family got were not the best. Service was good, was just hoping for better food for the price.

Came with my family. The food was cold and old tasting. It came out quickly, almost like the had a bunch of food precooked. My husband had the corned beef hash, quite mushy. The server was kind and attentive. The food quality very poor.

A classic all American diner in a classic small city. Great food and great staff! My favorite so far are the dry rub wings and fries. The the house dry rub is amazing. The French fries here are a real treat. As a snobby fry guy and being married to a fry connoisseur has rubbed off me. The fries here are superb. Crispy, hot and deeelicious! I highly recommend the Lighthouse.

The Lighthouse is another example of where value can still be found. It’s a friendly, locally owned restaurant that serves huge plates of food at reasonable prices. It’s obviously a favorite of the locals because most people seemed to know each other. The staff was friendly, and the food was delicious. I noticed that there were some lunch specials starting at around $9.00.

Rarely do I find breakfast so encouraging. I too am a Christian business owner and like to be bold. From the music to the hospitality to the coffee cups, you share what you believe and that’s so important. I will be back, not only for the delicious steak and eggs but to be encouraged knowing other business owners out here are unashamed of the saving grace of Jesus Christ.

We had an excellent breakfast here. The service was stellar. The food was good. My spouse got the mush (deep fried corn meal patties) and loved them. I was able to get hash browns that were cooked just the way I liked them crispy on the outside. Just the kind of local breakfast place I always look for when traveling. A place where it appears that everyone knows each other!

I wasn’t expecting to have the experience that I had here today, (im just gonna go ahead & say this, my boyfriend is black, which is why im infuriated by this experience) first our waitress (Mary) I believe, she was the waitress in the back half of the restaurant , she didn’t greet us, didn’t serve us our drinks, she took a good minute to ask us for our order, we watched her asked multiple people about condiments they wanted etc, she got everyone else what they wanted, I watched her serve OUR food to two old white folks who came in AFTER us, the man told her that wasn’t his food, then the woman proceeded to PICK THROUGH MY FOOD with her silverware, to which Mary finally came back, took the plate, I’m assuming went to the back & doctored it up & brought it right back out to ME, talk about losing your appetite after watching a stranger play with it. Then told me she was going to get my toast, that wasn’t served with my food yet, & never brought it out!!! My boyfriend got hasbrowns & French toast with his order, was asked if he wanted condiments & they were never brought to him!!! Not even syrup, yeah let’s eat French toast while it’s dry. This is insane. As she’s running around making sure every other table had what they wanted. A different waitress came out & finally served me my toast & got my boyfriend the condiments he needed, but we got up & left after Mary came back & offered us a little discount for not bringing me my toast. At this point I wasn’t even hungry anymore, left everything there, paid for our meal that we shouldn’t have had to pay for & left. Definitely will not be returning here. Very disappointed.
