I want to give a big shout out and thank you to Elise, who was our waitress 2 nights in a row. We were a large group of 11 and her positive “can do” attitude was fantastic and her service was outstanding. Nothing was a problem. Drinks were fast to arrive, our food order was always correct and delicious and Elise was a pleasure. Thank you Michael’s and the whole staff.

The kids meals are $16 and they are the size of an adult burger! How is a 5 year old to finish all that? They charge $10!! God forbid you want to share your food with your wife! The food was disgusting. The sword fish tasted like low tide at the pier. If it taste fishy it’s not fresh. The kids steak was tough and not great. The french onion soup was good. The menu options are very limited. Not many choices at all. $12 for garlic bread? Come on. The table next to us didn’t finish any of their food and left it all there. I should have known this place was bad when there was no one there but us and one other table. Never again.

Would love to have recommended this place because it is in a great town but between the service and one of our entrees being inedible I need to share my experience. Clam chowder was good, salad had to be asked for and finally came right before the meals but was fresh and good size with homemade dressing. Sesame encrusted salmon dry but “ok” with the included side of Thai marinade. The clams and linguine were made with what appears to be dehydrated clams that were chewy and without taste, Included were about 8 of the smallest fresh clams in the shell. I was too concerned about the dish but the waitress never came back to check on us. I ended up sharing the salmon with my wife and had to go to the hostess to pay and she was nice to take the clams entree off.

My boyfriend and I went February 15th, at 5 pm, and the very young waitress was terrible. We asked for 2 drinks straight up and she came with it filled to the rim with ICE, boyfriend asked for a salad with his dinner and she forgot, he asked her what kind of pasta choices came with the veal, and she said pasta, when he heard the waitress at the other table listing many pasta choices, and she brought out my coffee with no saucer under it. We’ve gone there dozens of times, and this was the first time the service was terrible.

I had a pretty good chicken parm dinner at Michaels. Though the service was a bit slow, I enjoyed the chicken parm over pasta and side salad. The prices also weren’t too bad and the atmosphere was quite pleasant. There’s both a bar area and a quite dining room. As long as time isn’t an issue, I’d recommend dining at Michaels.

Michael’s of Stockbridge was a nice experience. The restaurant makes you feel that you are in someone’s home having dinner. Food was good and we did not have to wait long. They have standard American fare. They have seating in the dining room or Tavern. Tavern is bar foods and dining room you can order from full menu. Staff was friendly and attentive. Try it out!!

Thanks to the cache of this lovely town, this place postures as an up town restaurant but delivers as a low brow bus stop. The staff are overworked, overwhelmed, and crabby. We were offered an extremely limited menu due to the size of our group (of 30). With eyes closed, it was impossible to tell the difference between the chicken and the fish or the beef. All were grey. All were served with the identical over-salted sides. We left distressed and two members of our party were later ill. Do NOT recommend. Go to the Red Lion Inn instead!
