This is THE place to go for excellent contemporary Hawaiian music! Can’t be beat. The food is generally decent, but the music is the draw.

They have different Hawaiian musicians every night. These are very well-known people and groups, not just random people. Lately, on Saturday’s, Ho’okena has been playing. We especially like Sundays though when Nathan Aweau plays. He’s amazing. I saw some other reviewer refer to him as “some guy with a guitar”… gawd. He’s very famous in Hawaiian music.

The food is mostly very good with an occasional dud. Last night my wife had the wedge salad and it was truly gross. But the pork belly is good, the poke nachos are very good. The drinks are ok enough but spendy. Bit too sweet for us though.

The service is great! We’ve enjoyed everyone who has helped us.

You’ll get a very nice meal and a great night of music. Give them a try!

Fun location, very good food, delicious drinks. The live musician was and add plus. Nathan, who played and sang mostly Hawaiian songs, such an amazing voice! Pool side and very good service.

Fish dinner and mushroom appetizer were good, steak was not. Server was nice and took care of the steak (I didn’t eat it) and brought a birthday dessert! Live music was nice, guy with a guitar. Restaurant is oddly in between the hotel reception and the pool.

We’re staying at a different hotel but came to here for dinner tonight. Our server Jason was great! He was super nice & gave quick service. We ordered crispy spam handrolls (not pictured) which were tasty! For dinner, I got the build your own poke bowl & my husband got the Hawaii beef loco moco. My poke bowl was decent, but my husband really liked his food. There was live music which was nice. My only complaint would be the fact we waited 45 minutes for a table & when my husband went to check on our table, it sounded like they forgot about us. The hostess/waitress was very apologetic though.

Best place to hang out every evening! Sitting by the pool with live music playing every night creates the perfect vibe to unwind. The food is absolutely delicious with so many options to choose from—especially the poke bowls, which are hands down the best I’ve had! The drinks menu is impressive, with a great variety of cocktails that hit the spot. Highly recommended for a relaxed evening with friends, date nights, or just treating yourself!

Not exactly the sit-down restaurant vibe I expected—it’s more of a casual poolside setting with a family-friendly atmosphere. So if you’re looking for something more intimate, just keep that in mind.
That said, the food? Phenomenal. I was a little confused at first about how to order, but the bartender was super helpful and quickly sent over a server.

We ordered the Maui Fish Sandwich and the Soft Shell Crab Sandwich—both were absolutely amazing. The fish was seasoned to perfection, and the soft shell crab gave full-on po’ boy vibes: crispy, flavorful, and satisfying.

I made a point to come back just for dessert and wow—the Pineapple Crème Brûlée is a must. The brûlée is served in a hollowed-out pineapple, and once you break through the caramelized top, you can scoop out the fresh pineapple underneath. It came with strawberries and whipped cream and was a beautiful, delicious experience.

Definitely recommend for a laid-back lunch with great flavors and tropical vibes.

Good food, good service. There is live music and different music from speakers. Part of tables are next to the swimming pool so there is additional noise.

Amazing! John, our waiter, was the best part! My wife and I were conflicted on a couple dishes, but he recommended the loco moco as it’s a traditional comfort dish. It was incredible! So simple, but delicious! The pineapple crème brûlée was also incredible. He shared some neat cultural info throughout our meal too. Seriously, if the restaurant was 8/10, he made it 10/10! Thanks, John!

Absolutely AMAZING experience here for dinner! We went here our last night on the island and were not disappointed! The live music, service, and food were incredible. Our waiter made great food suggestions. For food we had the braised beef short ribs, fresh catch tacos, and ahi poke nachos. Super low key relaxed vibe at this restaurant. Would highly recommend!

약 2주 전에 이 레스토랑에서 겪었던 경험을 공유하고 싶습니다.
한 마디로 정리하자면, ‘최악은 아니지만 저녁식사로는 다시는 가고 싶지 않은 식당’ 입니다.

I’d like to share an experience I had at this restaurant about two weeks ago.
In a nutshell, it’s “not the worst, but a place I wouldn’t want to have dinner again.”
It was my girlfriend’s 21st birthday dinner. We were tired but wanted to try alcohol officially for the first time on her 21st birthday, so we went to the hotel’s restaurant.
The service wasn’t bad. The server seated us right in front of the performance stage, so we could enjoy the show. The food took quite a while, but we could munch on the nachos that came first while waiting. (The nachos were reasonably priced and tasted great. We also ordered drinks, which took longer than expected.)
When the food finally arrived, we were excited but soon disappointed. It was barely edible.
The steak (pork chop) we ordered tasted like it was made solely of salt, not seasoned but just salty. It was so salty that it was bitter. My girlfriend, being an American but a vegetarian, couldn’t taste it herself but remarked that American food is generally either very salty or sweet. Living in the US, I know that American food tends to have strong flavors, but this was beyond that—it was simply inedible. I wanted to call the server to complain immediately but didn’t want to ruin my girlfriend’s birthday atmosphere. I tried to eat it with the rice that came with her dish, but it was still too salty. My girlfriend also took a bite and found her “Create Your Own Bowl” dish tasteless. She described it as “chewing on texture with no flavor.” At this point, she started to think something might be wrong with my food too, especially since the father at the table next to us was also complaining about his steak. This reassured my girlfriend that my taste was not the issue.

We ordered a few items, including cocktails, and the total came to $140, including tip. The second picture shows the food when it arrived, and the third picture is after we “finished dinner.”
After the server cleared our plates, they brought a small piece of cake to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday, which was a nice gesture. The nachos, mashed potatoes, and cheesecake were the only tasty items. As we left, we joked that we had the “most expensive nachos, mashed potatoes, and cheesecake for dinner” and that a “$140 nacho and mashed potato meal is something we could only experience in Hawaii.”
We should have had dinner at Monkeypod Kitchen next door, enjoying the ocean view.

Additionally, I’m curious why the server, who received the tip and acknowledged that other tables had the same complaints about the food, only responded with “I’ve informed the kitchen of the issue” and still charged us the full price. I was disappointed that they didn’t try to resolve the issue, but my girlfriend enjoyed the complimentary cake, so I’ll leave a 2-star review.
