Dryest meat I’ve ever had. Couldn’t even eat it. Everything was put in microwave. Was told it’s so dry that’s why they put bbq sauce on it. I hope my dogs like it. If not it will go in trash.

It was our first time trying their food and we were disappointed.
My Buffalo wings tasted like they had cinnamon in the sauce. And it was more sweet than it was spicy and the mashed potatoes weren’t too bad.
My daughters pulled pork wasn’t seasoned and we had to put BBQ sauce on it, I don’t think she was a big fan of it. Her fries were okay.
All of my husbands food was cold. His jalapeno cheddar sausage, loaded baked potato and onion tanglers. And something didn’t settle well with his stomach.

We been waiting for a good BBQ place to open in Canon City. We tried other places however I find the BBQ very greasy or drowned in BBQ sauce. We tried Dickey’s pulled pork sandwich and it was piled high with hot BBQ which was NOT greasy and extremely tender. I ordered the fries which were hot, but just a little too much salt for my taste. So if I order fries again, I will ask for less salt. I went back today and ordered a pound of pulled pork and again it was still warm when I drove 30 minutes home and just as tender as before. So without a doubt I can say the pulled pork I’ve had from Dickey’s is delicious and not greasy and I’ll be going back!! Also the staff was very nice both times I visited the restaurant, plus the women’s bathroom was very clean.

I can’t say enough good things about this place! From the moment you walk in, the smell of smoked meat hits you in the best way possible. The staff is friendly, the atmosphere is laid-back, and everything feels authentically southern.
I ordered the brisket and ribs combo, and both were outstanding — tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. The smoke ring on the brisket was perfect, and the ribs just fell right off the bone. The homemade barbecue sauce was the real deal — tangy, a little sweet, and full of depth.
The sides were just as good as the meat. The mac and cheese was creamy and rich, the baked beans had a great smoky flavor, and the cornbread tasted like it came straight from Grandma’s kitchen.
It’s clear that the people here take pride in what they do. Everything tasted fresh and made with care. This is easily the best barbecue I’ve had in a long time — definitely worth the trip and I’ll be back for more!

I’ve read a lot of reviews about Dickies and was reluctant to give it a shot. However, it did not disappoint, Dickies seems to have straightened out most of their issues. I did have the 2 meat plate all was excellent but the brisket was still a little overcooked. We went as a party of four with two children and overall it sufficed otherwise. I believe restaurants shouldn’t be put away until all had a chance to give their own opinion. I’m glad I went, it was an enjoyable experience, with friendly staff, great food, and fast service.

Went two times for ribs. Fantastic. Fell right off the bone and tender, juicy, etc. “I’ll try something different”, I says to myself. BIG MISTAKE! Brought takeout bag into car and my wife kept asking if I farted or stepped in some dog poo. Nope! It was the brisket. Spent 40$ on it and I know this is more of a shame to me and my being a combination of lazy and cheap. I ate it anyway. Now my mouth tastes like I spent the night in prison with Bubba if you know what I mean

After i messed up and ordered online at wrong location, staff was awesome in getting it all straightened out. They were super nice and accommodating. Having said that, let’s move on to the food. I ordered the 2-meat plate. I had ordered sliced brisket, but got chopped. It was mostly fat, and has never even seen a smoker, much less cooked in one at the Canon City location. The sausage was undercooked. The potato salad was mostly mustard. The “Texas toast” was like sliced French bread. The baked beans were actually good. I won’t be going back.

I got a sausage sandwich and some brisket. Both were awesome. The food is top notch and the service is fast and friendly. You also can’t beat the Big Yellow Cup and FREE ice-cream.

Overall I really liked the flavor and quality of the food except for one aspect. Quantity to price. Had their turkey sandwich which while great was really just a single slice of turkey roughly quarter of an inch. That’s great but not filling for the price. Need more meat on their food and I shouldn’t have to pay for double meat that should be on a single sandwich.
