Medway cafe has been one of my families main go to restaurants because they offer something everyone in my picky family will eat and, the food has never disappointed and, the atmosphere is great. However, I left very disappointed in my food. I didnt take a photo of the plate before I dug in, sorry I was hungry and wanted to eat. My meatball sub was sat on the table with 2 pieces of Kraft Singles, one white American and one orange American slapped on top. And every bite of the meatballs was permeated with that gross fake cheese taste. If I had wanted fake cheese, I would have sufficed for mcdonalds. I mentioned it to the waiter, she shrugged her shoulders and replies “oh sorry thats how they come?”. It certainly was not the same experience I have had previously, highly disappointed.

Update: new owners are killing this place. Most recently they got rid of Sunday funday kids eat free. As if 9$ bowl of Kraft Mac and cheese is making them go bankrupt. Unreal, prob won’t be back. It’s not worth 110$ for family of four.
Update – kids eat free on Sundays is gone. Steak and cheese is borderline pathetic with a slice of cheese slapped on. Overpriced for food but beer is still good.
10 out of 10 experience. Family of four with a 2 year old and a 7 month old couldn’t have gone better. Booster seats, high chairs, kids menu, crayons, TVs it was perfect. Food was delicious, beer selection was great. Spent less than 100$ on food and booze. Keno every where which is awesome. Fun sports decor everywhere. Will def be back.

This was my first time ever going here. We did take out, so I can’t comment on the atmosphere. It did look like the people at the bar were having fun, however I didn’t see much food.
But, let’s talk about the food. It was my first time, and it 100% was my last time as well. This place has no other word to describe their food but disgusting. Three adult meals, four different items, I’ll taste the same. This oil tastes like they haven’t changed it since the day this place opened. Fries taste like seafood, seafood tastes burnt, onion rings have no flavor at all, and the batter just Falls off. You can just tell there is no care whatsoever coming out of that kitchen.
The chef’s Ramen Bowl almost still had the square shape of the dollar store noodles.
Three full size meals, one appetizer, $110, everything ended up in the trash.
Steer clear, there are numerous other places you can get a better meal for that price.

We went there for my birthday. They offered a good variety of draft beers. However had options for the grandkids. The food was awesome and the six of us shared a desert. We were there in the middle of the week without any pressure to free up the table.

People, this is it! This is one of few places left that you can just be you and enjoy. The ambience is electric at times, lunch is what it should be, quick and chill if needed, relaxed if wanted, and there is a progression that develops weekly as the place to be at night locally…the staff is genuine and attentive, the bartenders, priceless…and omg, they welcome you and say goodnight as well, a great break from other places that make you feel like you’re bothering them…The regulars lurk about and the food comes out on point and timely even at their busiest times…the music is always right and the they always seem ready to truly serve you…what happens at the Medway Cafe….stays at the Medway Cafe 😉

Getting worse….. ordered takeout for family as it was my wife’s birthday. The menu was wrong online? Had specials up for next week. So I pick up the food and they canceled my wife’s meal. No call no offer of substitution or discount for the issue. SHAME we loved this place before it changed hands. Now every time we go order its an issue. This was the nail in their coffin. Told them to keep the food .

Really enjoyed this place. The decor has really cool music, movie and other memorabilia. The food was great. The drinks were just as good. Seating in the bar and surrounding area is very comfortable. Will be back.

If you’re looking for great food, great service, friendly servers and bartenders, Medway cafe is the place to go with your family and friends. Kate, at the bar is the best bartender in the area, along with Taryn and Taylor that serve drinks without the wait. The kitchen staff comes out with delicious items on the menu. The servers, Celia, Katie, Cheryl, Maryanne, they are all super nice and attentive to your table. Enjoy lunch, dinner or just drinks-go often!

Went here for lunch and had a great experience! Food was decent and service was excellent! Very attentive wait staff here. Cheerful and upbeat. Decor is nice and the restaurant was clean.

This place was so good. I only five it the 4 stars on the food because the wings were pretty dry. Other that this place was on point. Everything was clean the staff were fast and attentive. The fries may be the best I have had. Definitely will go back, when I get back to that area.
