Always a great meal!

When our family is craving quick, delicious, and affordable Chinese food, we lean toward No. 1 Kitchen. This place has been around for a while, and it’s easy to see why. Our typical go-to order includes orange chicken, chicken fried rice, beef lo mein, sweet & sour chicken, and sides like wontons, egg rolls, and fried dumplings. The food is always served hot and fresh. We’ve never dined inside the restaurant, so I can’t speak to the atmosphere, but our experience with both call-in orders and DoorDash has consistently been smooth and reliable.

For the most part, our meal is ready in a decent amount of time, although there have been times we have had to wait a little longer. Still worth it.

The portions are generous, and we almost always get a second meal out of what we order, which makes it a great value. We’ll definitely keep coming back to this local favorite!

Been going to number 1 for years and steadily watching their decline. Service is never that great but I can get passed that. I cant get passed a $10 sushi roll that was just sloppily thrown together and falling apart while trying to eat

I was charged dinner price before 3pm?? almost $12 for some late lunch?? I’m pretty sure I could enjoy an all you can eat buffet for about that price. The food was pretty good and the 2 pieces of broccoli wasn’t quite done nor hot.. my orange chicken & fried rice was hot & good & tasty….

Black bean paste? I am not sure what it is and I am positive that I don’t want to know how it is made.

My Chinese food safety rule is, if the meal doesn’t have General Tso’s name on it, proceed with caution.

Versions of No 1 Kitchen’s “Triple Crown” meals looked delicious. I took the risk and went with the Hunan version, which has the spicy black bean sauce. The black bean sauce was rich, savory, spicy delicious. Not sweet. The meal was a big, full plate of food. A balanced mixture of fresh vegetables, loaded up with tender chicken, beef and shrimp. This was a great meal. Spicy black bean sauce, works for me. I think General Tso would have liked it.

My wife went with the Lo Mein with Shrimp. She enjoyed the meal. She offered me a bite, but I passed on it. I don’t like spaghetti. We also shared a bowl of hot and sour soup. It was loaded with mushrooms, tofu, egg and vegetables in a tasty tangy spicy thick broth. Very good.

This is a clean comfortable little restaurant with table service and drive through. The restaurant stayed surprisingly busy even after the lunch hour rush.

I had dined at No 1 Kitchen several years ago. I was not impressed with the food enough to come back since. Recent reviews that I have seen, enticed me to give No 1 Kitchen another try.

Ordered sushi and some soup. When I got home noticed an off putting smell and discoloration on the meat. Didn’t risk eating it. Disappointing. Edit: I did receive a full refund to be fair

I’ll just start off by saying I wanted to give this place a chance the fried rice is barely fried also no flavor the sesame chicken was hard but the flavor was there got sweet and sour sauce and it’s a no for me it just didn’t taste right idk if it was a bad night for them or what I’ll also have to add it’s over priced for what it is

I simply have to sing the praises of No. 1 Kitchen. Where do I start? A Broken Arrow Institution, I’ve been coming here since way back when I was in junior high, and I still gladly make the pilgrimage from Tulsa when I can. The quality of their food is leagues, orders of magnitude even, above the other takeaway places in Broken Arrow and Tulsa; it truly puts them to shame with how delicious No 1 Kitchen is. You can tell they actually cook with a wok from the noise coming from the kitchen and from the delightful “wokhei” flavour instilled in every bite. And for all this quality, you’re paying only as much, if not a dollar or two less than the competition. The vibes of this place are spot on, the cosy, familiar atmosphere of every fondly remembered Chinese takeaway spot from your youth, no matter when or where you grew up. My recommendation? Get anything with their fried rice, and then order seconds. You know you want to.

Terrible service. Couldn’t get the order right. Ordered 2 plates. 1 came 10 minutes before the other plate. Then couldn’t get their attention. The guys just were visiting with each other and ignoring my attempts to get their attention. Finally got a guy to hand me the box at the counter and he had an attitude. Then I mentioned that we had needed service for 10 minutes while they were just hanging out and he just huffed and turned away to talk with his buddies.

Real ceramic plates and stainless silverware with authentic taste. The Egg Foo Young was so fluffy, and the gravy was spot-on. My husband’s Szechuan dish was also amazing. Very reasonable prices. What more can we ask? Will definitely be back soon.

There was one other table when we came in, and the place smaller so amazing. Ordering was simple and the food came out quickly. We ordered egg rolls, house combo fried rice, cheese wontons, and a beef and rice meal. Everything was great except the beef. Someone different about the beef. Corn starch or something on it? Idk. Tasted gristly.

We enjoyed ourselves and had a good time here.
