EI Molcajete Mexican Grill is a gem! The food is delicious and the people are so friendly. I ordered the chicken taco salad and wow… the portion is massive (check out the fork in my photo for scale ). I gave it my very best shot, but it defeated me in the end. The texture and flavor were spot on though — super tasty! Highly recommended if you’re hungry (really hungry).

I ate here today for the first time and it was wonderful. The food came out within 7 minutes of ordering it. It tasted delicious by the way. They have a Salsa Bar inside to try different flavors of salsa. Which is super cool! I wish there was more interaction with the Servers, but overall I very much enjoyed eating here.

Wow! We were surprised to find this spacious place with many seating options available. We were sat immediately and our server had perfect timing to ask us for our drink order, and mentioned it was buy one get one free margaritas. I ordered a strawberry margarita with salt on the rim. It came in a heavy duty glass that was generously portioned. We were brought chips and salsa, and the salsa was delicous and chips were very crunchy. The menu was large and had all the classoc staples like street tacos, chimichangas, enchiladas, plus authentic dishes like molcajete and choices like your taco cooking style being al pastor, etc. The kitchen staff were kind and talented, often carrying five or six plates at once up their arms and carrying five or six drinks too. The place filled up fast with family and friends and the music was exciting and atmosphere was festive and giddy. After kitchen staff delivered the food, our server was back to check that everything was ok. Then, we were given time to finish our generous portions and only when we had finished did the server ask us if we wanted the 2nd marg (it was free after all!) The 2nd one came out and it had sugar on the rim, which I thought was a nice touch. Brought us a box for the uneaten portion and demonstrated perfect service and especially remembering our orders, reorders, and giving us time to eat but immediately seating us and getting our drink order started. I was not expecting such a great spot, delicious food with large portions, and talented staff. The bathrooms were clean and upscale and the bar was very long and lower for a relaxed feel with 3 giant flatscreens showing different games, so a perfect sports bar spot. I will be coming back soon, I’m so happy to have such a delicous upscale Mexican restaurant that has inexpensive full size entrees and drinks deals.

My sister and I ate here before Christmas. The food was really tasty until I found a hair in my food. See, I have long hair so I assumed it was mine, though a bit grossed out I proceeded to enjoy my meal. I offered my sister a bite of my food and before she could chew it, she was pulling another hair out of her mouth, that had a chunk of the chorizo cooked around it. I’ve worked in the restaurant business for a long time so even if I wasn’t gonna get my money back (or be able to finish my food) I knew I had to say something. I’m assuming the host, was the person I was able to wave down. She insinuated that I planted the hair. That’s wild. I was willing to accept responsibility for the first random one but the second one, cooked into the chorizo? She offered me $5 off. Which I accepted. So beware of hair here, and have proof it isn’t yours. I don’t know if I’ll be back.
