Ive eaten various forms of mochi or rice cakes my whole life. This mochi is the most unique bite ive ever had. Hard to describe the texture. Its just slightly more firm than water. The most heavenly melt in your mouth smooth texture ive ever felt. Intoxicatingly delicious. Closest thing to food heroin ive had. Amazing

This is a gem inside the Arcadia mall food court. Tried their popular Matcha Latte with the mochi. It’s so good!! The mochi is so soft and goes well with the drink. Will definitely order again if I am in the area. A must try.

Interesting… Soft chewy mochi, with a bunch of powder on top and some vanilla syrup to drizzle over it. It’s very simple, but VERY good! I highly recommend it! Their drinks though, toasted like they were more heavy in milk, so whatever flavor variant you order might be overworked by the milk, but otherwise, OK.
Sadly, this is the last dessert place I went to with a special person. Stores in this mall, the entire area are constantly changing, kinda like some of the people in your life, so make sure you stop by and check this place out, because you don’t know when you’ll pass by with regret for not having tried it out.

Disappointing. Had the “Warabimochi Matcha Latte” (50% sweetness, large) and it tasted like watered-down milk with very sweet bits of tapioca at the bottom. We also got “Matcha Cloud Latte” (large) and it tasted like plain milk. Please don’t go here if you want actual matcha. 3

Such soft and delicious wasabi mochi! Great presentation as well and the drink was fantastic. It’s a long line but totally worth it.

We had the warabi mochi at Kamakura Sweet Shop in Japan; we were so happy to see that they have Warabimochi Kamakura here. We ordered the matcha mochi, and it tasted so delicious and same as the one we had in Japan. Their mochi were chewy, wobbly, and so soft that they melted in my mouth. If you also like soft mochi rather than the firmer texture mochi, then this is perfect for you. We only purchased a box of 5 pcs (about $10) because we were so full after having the revolving sushi. The matcha mochi were super fresh, and they were dusted with matcha powder and served with a brown sugar syrup.

Originally went on opening day but it was so busy that I had to leave a come back another day. I’m glad I did! This warabimochi was delicious! If you’re familiar with warabimochi from Japan- this is slightly softer than when made during the spring in Japan but it still has that classic pull and chew that then melts in your mouth. The matcha was definitely food grade but till went well with the warabimochi. The kinako was good as well. I personally liked the strawberry mochi drink as it was better balanced in terms of the sweetness vs the tart. The hojicha was too sweet for me personally. I look forward to when they have their yuzu drink!
I would definitely come back here again when craving warbimochi.

I didn’t understand the hype about these viral mochis straight from Japan until I tried them for myself. This is Warabimochi Kamakura’s first location in the US with the yummiest freshmade mochis right in the heart of the Shops at Santa Anita.
They’re soft and pillowy, and sooo stretchy, with kinako, which is roasted soybean, and deep matcha powder. Drizzle on some of their pure Okinawan brown sugar syrup to give it an intensity of flavor.
And paired with any of their specialty mochi drinks is the ultimate combo. The mochi topping in the drinks really works!
Lines were wrapped around when I visited and I could definitely see why!
Thanks for reading! ^-^

The Yuzu Matcha and Hojicha Cloud Latte are pretty good. Gonna come back next time to try the mochi.

This was my first time to try a beverage like this. This is so much better than boba! The mochi in the drink is a jelly-like texture that is transparent, chewy, and settles on the bottom. I got a sweet matcha latte and my little one got a strawberry milk. We were both so happy to try this place. The drinks are on the expensive side, but they are so worth it!
Update: The second visit wasn’t as good as the first time. The matcha latte had mochi that was all stuck together, making it difficult to slurp it up with the straw. I couldn’t enjoy it at all!
