Ale Mary’s

Social Profile:

Ale Mary’s is a Fells Point bar where the food pulls its weight. Start with crabby tots Baltimore regulars treat like the house move. Hot, loaded, built for sharing, the kind of tater tots Baltimore tables order without thinking. Then go straight for the Baltimore crab cakes. They are why this place also works as your default Fells Point restaurant, not just a quick drink. The room is Church kitsch with a wink, nuns on the walls, jokes baked into the vibe, zero preciousness. Brunch Fells Point turns into a long hang with Benedicts and Bloody Marys. Sunday brunch Baltimore crowds settle in and do not rush. Nights shift to Baltimore bar food that actually hits. Wings, burgers, and Bohs in a room that feels lived-in, not polished.

This laid-back neighborhood tavern offers lots of beers, creative pub fare & nun-themed decor.

Ale Mary’s really delivered the holiday magic with their Christmas on Fleet pop up. The moment I walked in I felt that cozy, nostalgic feeling that only a true holiday bar can bring. The lights, the décor and all the thoughtful little touches made the space feel like a festive escape right in the middle of Baltimore. The seasonal drinks were spot on and the food hit in all the right ways. You can tell the team put a lot of love into creating something special. I had an amazing time from start to finish and if you’re looking for a spot to lift your holiday spirit this is absolutely the place to be.

Excellent neighborhood vibe. Staff is welcoming and warm spirited. Food is spot on. Ample portions. Great place to meet up with friends for a good nosh, refreshments, and conversation. Sunday Brunch has never let me down. Coffee is hot and comes out in a fresh mug everytime. Highly recommend all year.

Ale Mary’s is such a fun spot during the holidays. The Christmas decorations are amazing and make the whole place feel super cozy and festive. It really feels like a neighborhood pub that fully leans into the holiday spirit. Great place to grab a drink with friends, hang out for a while, and enjoy the warm, cheerful atmosphere. Definitely one of my favorite places in Baltimore around Christmas time

Pros: The Christmas decorations are beautiful and create a joyful atmosphere. Everything we ate from the Christmas menu was good. Recommend the ravioli and blitzen bites. Their Christmas drinks are also good.

Cons: service was very slow. Tater tots tasted like they were cooked in stale oil and they were hard.

Shannon is amazing. While food, decor and drinks selection are excellent, she is truly another level – highly recommended for a quickly drink or a full meal

Lived 2 blocks away for almost 2 years, always wanted to visit but never found the right time. Finally got a chance to visit and we’re happy we did! Really friendly staff and great atmosphere. You would never know from the street how spacious it is on the inside but we did decide to sit outside and enjoy the weather. Food was great and reasonably priced considering the location and quality. Bread pudding for dessert was recommended by a friend and did not disappoint, really delicious. Definitely recommend stopping in for a drink or some grub.

For the last several years I’ve lived in DC and Bethesda, we moved recently to Baltimore. The food in Baltimore has been mostly outstanding, but what I really love are places like this that have been apart of the community for many years. It’s a good way to learn how kind and friendly people are, and Ale Marys is the perfect indicator of the people in the community. The food was really good, and the service was personable and very warm. People pile in for good reason and everyone seems to know each other and has a good time. The Christmas decor was also fun!

There is a stark difference in service and food between Baltimore and DC and I have to say, Ale Marys has made me very happy, comfortable, and thrilled to be living in a new city.

Ale Mary is a great local bar, but also a great restaurant. The food is wonderful. Service is spot-on. I’d come back here any time I was in town. They were recently featured on The Travel Channel’s “Great Places to Pig-Out.” French Onion soup is fantastic. The crab soup is wonderful. Steve is a great bartender.
