Found this place off Google it was located in a very visible and busy spot off the highway. Lots of parking, decent size bathrooms clean and easy to find. The customer service was good had a good menu and went for hibachi. The cook was good at his job and did a few tricks and thats it. Didn’t ask if I had any allergies even when I told them I cant have seafood and that was odd. Decent price and the drink was strong. Food portions were good.

I’m so disappointed with my food. I ordered takeout from Sakura which is pretty close to my house but by the time I arrived home my food was cold. I ordered hibachi salmon (medium-well) and scallops. My salmon was cold overcooked and skimpy. $35 I expected a full piece of salmon and more than 4 scallops. This was so disappointing!!

Surprisingly good teppanyaki. The chefs were very engaging and put on a nice show
Every food item was cooked perfectly. It’s interesting they don’t do the shrimp appetizer here but that’s fine with us because we prefer having both noodles and rice which they do. Pricing is reasonable. The atmosphere is nice but a little dated. They have a fair number of hibachi tables. Getting a seat was not difficult and we were fortunate to not have to wait long for the dinner to start.
We had filet mignon and chicken and both were excellent. They serve ginger sauce as well as mustard sauce which we actually love and have had a hard time finding. This is going to be a go-to place because the food is good and they have that sauce for us.

Tonight we decided to do something different. we sat at a regular table. We ordered all of the Appetizers on the menu. They were all GREAT! Then we had Shrimp Fried Rice. This time it came with delicious large shrimp, perfectly cooked on top of a mound of piping hot rice. We order it with extra egg. If you want the shrimp tossed in the rice, just ask.

Food was great, fast. Loved the cook and tipped him at the end. I guess they expected me to tip all 4 waiters that came to my table too. So when I didn’t include tip on the tap they chased me out restaurant to tell me I didn’t leave them I tip. I kindly told them I tipped the chef. Who chases someone out the restaurant? I will NEVER be back. I will always drive passed this one to the next one.

I have a hard time writing this review because I having been going to Sakura for years and have always been fond of the atmosphere and food. However, over the recent years the service has declined drastically. In my most recent visit, I was told over the phone that I did not need to make a reservation due to my party size. Yet upon my arrival, I had to wait 1 hour to be seated because I did not have a reservation. Despite expressing the incorrect information, I was given; there was no empathy nor compensation for my inconvenience. The owner seemed to not care despite communicating what occurred. This unfortunately damaged my perception of this establishment, and I can no longer recommend this restaurant. If it is your first time, enjoy the experience but do not expect empathy in times of inconvenience because there will be none.

We just left Sakura Hibachi and it was the worst hibachi experience my family, friends and I have ever had. We read the reviews before coming here and were under the impression that we would have a very entertaining time. That couldn’t have been further from the truth. This was the quietest hibachi experience we have ever had. The chef barely spoke with us, no fun for the kids like tossing the veggies to see who can catch it in their mouth, no squirting the water in their mouths, nothing that was even close to entertaining especially for the kids. Our kids were very disappointed, as were the adults. On top of all of that, how has no one left a review about the cesspool smell in this place?!?!?! The bathrooms stunk like cesspool and we kept getting whiffs of the smell at our table as well. Disgusting! We will never return to this restaurant again.

Hibachi service was awesome! Chicken was good and the best and most surprising part was the fact they had mustard sauce, I go crazy for that already but it was so good here! On top of reasonable dinner prices, definitely coming back here again 😀
