Daal Batti was good.
Kachori chaat was just too sweet. Too much yogurt ruined the taste of other ingredients.
We ordered Jain Paneer Chilli and Jain Momos, and both were really good. The Jain Raj Kachori, however, was a bit disappointing — the filling inside was unusually sour. We initially thought the curd might be the reason, but the curd was fine; it was the filling itself that tasted sour. Also, beetroot was added to the Jain Raj Kachori, which is not Jain-friendly. We did mention this at the end, as Jain food excludes all root vegetables, not just onion and garlic. It seems there may be some confusion around Jain dietary requirements.
We also ordered Jain Triple Schezwan Rice and requested it to be less spicy. While the dish was very flavorful, it still turned out quite spicy, with visible chili seeds in the gravy. I would recommend clearly asking for “very less spicy” if your spice tolerance is low. That said, the taste itself was very good.
For drinks, we tried the Tropical Fusion and Paan Breeze mocktails. The Tropical Fusion was okay but tasted quite artificial. The Paan Breeze, on the other hand, was enjoyable and well done.
Overall, the food quality was good, but better understanding and execution of Jain food requirements and spice preferences would improve the experience.
We’ve been to their Fremont branch before and had an awesome experience, which is why we decided to visit their new Santa Clara location—and it did not disappoint.
The food was absolutely delicious—authentic, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared. Must-try dishes include dal baati, gatte ki sabji, and the raj kachori.
Garam Mirchi is a wonderful spot for any kind of celebration, with amazing food and a heartwarming atmosphere we enjoyed live signing as well . Highly recommended! ✨
What sets Garam Mirchi apart is its consistently authentic, home-style Indian flavors. Generous portions, fresh ingredients, a menu for all spice levels, and friendly, attentive service make it a reliable choice for dine-in, takeout, or catering. Highly recommended!
The ambience really stands out: clean, vibrant, and welcoming, making it a great place for both family dinners and casual outings. Service was warm and attentive, which made the whole experience even better.
Highly recommend this place if you’re craving great Indian food with an awesome atmosphere. Will definitely be coming back!
My husband loved their Rajasthani dishes, while my kids and I swear by their Indo‑Chinese, packed with bold, delicious flavors in every bite. The drinks and desserts were outstanding too.
We tried and loved the paan drink, kala khatta, ,Paneer Chilli, Wok tossed street style Noodles, Tawa Pulao, crispy baby corn and moong dal halwa were all irresistibly good. Their hospitality is exceptional, and the experience left both my heart and tummy full. A must‑visit!
Highly recommended for any team outings, corporate events, social gatherings, or celebrations — spacious enough and the owner and staff are incredibly accommodating and attentive.
The food is outstanding. Everything tastes fresh and made right there, using very high-quality ingredients. You can genuinely feel the difference in taste and presentation compared to typical Indian restaurants.
A special shout-out to the owner, Vivek — he is incredibly welcoming and personally involved in everything. You can tell he takes pride in the food and the overall experience. His unique touch on Rajasthani cuisine truly stands out and elevates the flavors beyond the usual.
For families, this place is perfect. Our sons ordered the Oreo drink and absolutely loved it, and overall the drink options for kids are some of the best we’ve seen. We ordered mango mocktails for ourselves, which were served in beautiful glasses and very well decorated — they looked as good as they tasted.
Kids absolutely loved the Indo-Chinese food, and the Chilli Paneer Dry is the best in town — incredibly flavorful and cooked perfectly. Meanwhile, adults can truly enjoy the Rajasthani Thali, which is exceptional. I haven’t found any other restaurant in the Bay Area that serves an authentic thali like this — especially with Jowar and Bajra rotis, which is a rare and impressive touch.
The chaat options are amazing. We tried the chaat platter, which included four different items — all fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. It’s super value for money and perfect for sharing.
Cleanliness is clearly a priority here — the restrooms are large and very clean. Parking is also easy, with plenty of space behind the restaurant, which is very convenient.
Overall, Garam Mirchi Santa Clara delivers on food quality, authenticity, ambiance, and service. Highly recommended for families, special dinners, or anyone craving authentic Rajasthani cuisine done right. ️✨
