I was new in town and headed to a nearby restaurant and the name caught my attention. I ordered the Fried combo and I must say it was DELICIOUS. The lady who took my order was very pleasant and even mentioned her son restaurant. I can’t wait to try his and compare it to his mom’s. Another stop at Shrimp Lips, and yes… we ordered the usual suspects.
Of course we got the catfish, because skipping it would be irresponsible. Crispy, seasoned just right, and still doing what it always does: hitting every single time.
I had to order the crawfish—but full transparency? Once they started looking back at me, my appetite tapped out.
That said, my husband, Su-Lin, and Jack absolutely devoured them, so clearly they were a win… just not for the faint of heart (aka me).
We also tried the crab cakes—they were just okay. Not bad, not amazing, just… there.
But the lobster fries? That’s my daughter’s favorite for a reason. Creamy, indulgent, and very much a “don’t touch my plate” situation.
Bottom line:
Shrimp Lips stays solid. The catfish remains undefeated, the crawfish are for the brave, and the lobster fries are a crowd favorite. We’ll be back—because let’s be honest, that catfish owns us.

This place exceeded all of my expectations !!! The friendliness with ordering at the window with an explanation of the menu Items by sweet Mama Doe. I had the full platter shrimp combo, Cajun jumbo shrimp, half peel and eat, half breaded, Cajun potato, Cajun sausage, Cajun egg, Cajun corn, served piping hot along with a jug of Ice cold sweet tea to wash it down with. The food was out of this world, the best seafood I’ve ever had and believe me I’ve had a lot of seafood. It is well worth your time to stop in here and worth every penny of the price of admission. You won’t be disappointed.

Oh my goodness! Not only did the crab cakes exceed my expectations (as a connoisseur) but the shrimp and grits are AH-MAZING OH MY GOODNESS the lobster Mac! Stop! And the cook/owner soooooooooo sweet! May the Lord bless the work of their hands.

We’ve been seeing them on Facebook and took the ride from the North end. Only surprise, it’s all carry out, no dining in. The young man that waited on us was very good. If you are old as hell like me, the price might give you sticker shock, but what isn’t high these days? Now to the main event, the food. Damn! I got the fish and shrimp, comes with fries and hush puppies. The shrimp was phenomenal, no other way to describe it. Nice portion pile, damn that was great. Plenty of fries and 3 hush puppies. Now to the fish. I chose cod. Two HUGE planks, perfectly seasoned, perfectly cooked. Sidekick had lobster Mac and cheese, she said it was fantastic “ten out of ten”. And the calling fries were good as well. Home run meal. I’ll be stalking their Facebook page to watch for the truck, if the good Lord allows me to live, they’ll see me over and over. Great meal, thank you!

I live in Hilliard and I placed a door dash order. The food was so delicious and seasoned perfectly. The food was still hot and delivered at the time stated. I’m originally from Baltimore Maryland and this food is so much tasting like home and that’s an excellent place to eat…..

Listen, I haven’t even finished my food yet and I’m about to write this review! Visiting Shrimp Lips today felt like being back home in South Carolina! The owner was there and she extended me a big ‘ole dose of Southern hospitality! Her Florida roots came shining through and while talking to her, I can see why the business is a success. She is a sweetheart and the customer service was outstanding! I even learned the story behind the name of the business. A few weeks ago, I traveled to Cincinnati for the seafood festival and Shrimp Lips were the best vendors there. Everyone else had low quality, frozen seafood. Shrimp Lips makes their food fresh, the way it should be made, so please be patient. If you haven’t had Shrimp Lips yet, you’re missing out! This is the ONLY place in Columbus that does Southern seafood right.

I kept seeing this restaurant on Instagram. I remember they had a food truck and they were always sold out. They were sold out this time. I had ordered the lobster fries, lobster Mac and cheese, and a salmon bowl. I was surprised how small the containers were for the price of the food. The food was delicious . My kids really loved the lobster fries and lobster Mac and cheese.
