We stopped in here after a long day fishing the river, just expecting a quick sandwich or a simple burger. Boy were we surprised!! The food was abundant and delicious and the service was super friendly. We live on the east coast so won’t be back anytime soon, but HIGHLY recommend this place, the BBQ Chicken Pizza and Pretzel and cheese sauce.

We absolutely love coming down to The Hangout in Deckers for lunch, dinner, and now breakfast. The food is delicious, the atmosphere and the staff are all so kind especially Jackie. We loved having her as our server this morning. Its so nice to have a great local option for all 3 meals. Come down to beautiful deckers, you won’t regret stopping in to the hangout.

Wow! What an awesome stop. The owners were so inviting and the food is all made from scratch! I had the burger with truffle fries. They sale out quick: just got the last of the key lime pie but missed out on the pizza. Next time!

We came from Colorado Springs just for a nice drive and were completely surprised! We were greeted by the owner who was very kind and let us know about the new menu of homemade items, including the amazing blend of cuts for the burgers, so of course I had to have one. I had the patty melt and fries and my mom had the turkey club and fries. Both were just fantastic! And the hand cut fries were the crispiest I’ve ever had. The place was very clean with a relaxing environment and cool vibe. We’ll be back!

The absolute best of everything!! Don’t waste your time at Buds for a burger anymore. If your fishin on the Platte around Deckers , you gotta stop in. Food is fantastic and service is personalized. Great addition to the fly fishing vibe. Stop even if you want a great drive up to the Deckers area. The best !!!

As out-of-towners we feel so lucky to have stumbled upon The Hangout. Patty and Jackie are so welcoming and they serve up some seriously good eats! Local ingredients, everything scratch made and a full bar! We will definitely be back on our next trip out to Colorado. If for no other reason then to try the Bloody Mary’s which look amazing!!

We’ve made plenty trips to and through Deckers for fishing, camping, country driving, just a moment out of the city-ing, and gone past The Hangout thousands of times wondering what it’s about. Good thing we waited all these years to stop! Newly purchased, fresh concept which includes a full menu with REAL HOME COOKING. Highly recommend the burgers— we had a couple different versions— Jam Burger and Patty Melt. Burger mix was awesome, delicious flavor, hand formed patties. Fries are hand cut, homemade, perfect crisp. Service staff was super friendly which is hard to come by around these parts…most mountain folks hate city people (I get it, we are taking over but also we want to be just like you! We have good intentions!). Anyway, GO TO THE HANGOUT!! Take your buds, eat burgers, drink in the fresh air and support your local mountain small business!

Very kind, people. Extremely, extremely good food and I’m from Illinois. Everything was ideal. Top tier bloody Mary actually the best I’ve ever had. All the food is made here and fresh. More than willing to do custom request. Went above and beyond actually got to try some new creations they were working on. Chef came out and asked about the food. Homemade bear claw to. Definition of a hidden gem hole in the wall, down to the signage in the bathroom. Very well done, thank you for a great start to the day.

This is an incredible spot! The food was incredible. We sampled the gumbo (which was amazing; I’m from New Orleans and know a good gumbo), deviled eggs, and bacon jam. All were fabulous. The new owners, Jason and Carolyn, were friendly, gracious, and a pleasure to be around. Go check them out. We will be back!
