Nice atmosphere. If you enter through side/back door you don’t see the sign/placard with nightly specials for food. We were seated with backs to main entrance and never saw specials board nor did server mention anything about specials. After we placed our order we saw the specials. We would have ordered the specials but it was too late. Our meal was good but nothing spectacular. Steak was cooked medium yet a little tough. Not bad enough to return. We will stop again and order the specials. Servers should introduce themselves and inform customers of specials.

Established in 2024. This new establishment is fresh in downtown Standish. The New Orleans salmon was spot on. My wife had the Ruben, which I also had a chance to sample. I must say it was very good. Looking at the rest of the menu, I’m sure we’ll be back soon.

Great menu selections, burgers, pasta, fish, rice bowls plus specials. On the day we were there, they had elk, gator, prime rib, and burger special. The elk was very tender in a light gravy like sauce. The prime rib was a generous portion over an inch thick with minimal fat and cooked to a perfect medium rare.
Everything that our party ordered was great! Pasta Alfredo was a large serving and good Philly Cheese Steak.
Drink specials also.

The staff was very nice. Chef Dixie Dave made some great dishes. I will eat at this restaurant again and would recommend it to everyone.

The King’s Dish is a fantastic place to grab some great food as well as drinks. The King family is a pillar of our community and also owns Iva’s Chicken Dinners in Sterling. The interior is very relaxing and the have amazing photos of historic Standish.

I’m gonna start this out by saying that I have never once made a huge issue about a bad order etc.
This is also my first review:
I placed a pickup order about an hour before close at Kings Dish. Everything was perfect until I arrived home with my food. The food was ready when I was told that it would be (20 min wait from the end of placing the order) and I didn’t have to wait unnecessarily long. The restaurant itself is very nice and modern, very clean, good atmosphere, and the staff were very helpful and welcoming.
I ordered an Olive burger with fries ($15 or so) and chips + queso ($9). Not a terrible price if the kitchen delivered.
My number one reason for writing this review was that when I tried to call at approximately 15 minutes till close I was placed on hold, then waited 8 minutes on hold, then when I called back the phone wouldn’t even ring. This is a huge issue for a new business when a customer who was wronged is simply trying to help a manager fix a situation. The situation is the disorder of the kitchen. I will never EVER be mean to a manager or just complain or yell (This is my first time ever trying to contact a manager). I simply wanted to shed some light on some issues they may be having in certain areas, very politely.
I will attach some photo’s for firm context, but the queso portion I received with my $9 chips and queso was absolutely ridiculous, it was 1 condiment cup of queso. That’s just not acceptable at the price point, the chips and queso themselves were great honestly.
Then my burger order, the fries were perfect, it came with a pickle spear, but the issue was the burger itself. I received an olive burger that was just a patty, cheese, and green olives. The patty was also burnt, stiff and very dry.
I just hope this review is seen by the people managing and running this establishment, I would like to see you thrive and I will be trying one more time for the benefit of the doubt. The restaurant was in the middle of a huge rush due to a local event.

Horrible food!! Pop are flat, no bartender, super spicy teriyaki rice bowl, the fried rice was not fired just streamed and the shrimp wasn’t even sautéed, all they did was boil it. The shrimp scampi was supposed to have some sort of cream sauce and it literally had the water they boil the shrimp with herbs.
I had such high hopes with seeing that the review was for 4.4 definitely misleading go elsewhere

It was our first time eating at King’s Dish yesterday…4/19/25.There was 4 of us & the meals were awesome!! We all had different dishes…no complaints! We had so much food we had a lot of to go boxes!! Especially our server Truman made it a special dinner!! He was so polite & attentive to all of us, You couldn’t ask for a better restaurant!!

My wife and I enjoy King’s Dish as a change from the cookie cutter options. The staff is always friendly and professional. The dining area is well tended, clean, and well laid out. I enjoy the teriyaki bowl and the local caught fish dinners.
