I recently discovered this hidden gem of a sushi restaurant tucked away in a strip mall next to Starbucks and that shares a parking lot with Taco Bell in Highlands Ranch. From the outside, it’s easy to miss, But once you step inside, you’re in for a treat!
The menu is massive, offering an impressive variety of sushi, sashimi, rolls, and Japanese dishes. What stands out is the freshness of the food and the high-quality ingredients. The sushi was some of the best in the area, beating the regular spots in Highlands Ranch.
Our server was delightful —kind, attentive, and very helpful in navigating the menu. They made excellent recommendations and made us feel well taken care of.
The only downside is the atmosphere, which feels a bit blah and could use some updating to match the quality of the food. However, the restaurant just started offering beer, wine, and sake, and plans to expand their liquor menu soon, which is a promising!
Despite the unassuming location and lackluster ambiance, the incredible food and top-notch service make this my new favorite sushi spot in Highlands Ranch. If you’re looking for fresh, delicious sushi that outshines the competition, don’t let the location deter you—this place is great!

First time here was really good, second time we got a sushi boat and it was phenomenal. I love sushi and this place has REALLY good quality fish. My only confusion is that it’s been mostly empty both times we went. It means the service is really fast, and they’ve always been responsive and friendly. I can’t understand why there’s not more competition for their delicious food.

The tables are the first thing we noticed. They looked like they had just been cleaned and no one dried them. But after making sure, it was a unique decoration.
We ordered the Spicy Crispy Tuna as an appetizer. They were fantastic. The Joker Roll had a bit of shiso – a very flavorful plant that complemented the tuna.
The Naruto Roll was simple and delicious. The Sakura Roll was a great mix with soy paper.
All in all, for their first day opening – it was a pleasant experience and we are looking forward to the next visit

My husband and I shared the Sushi & Sashimi for two and were super impressed with the quality and presentation! The sashimi pieces were very generous thick slices and we added toro for a small upcharge which was well worth it. We chose the sakura roll as our sushi roll and it was delicious! Their selection of sushi rolls was pretty unique to what we’ve seen around. The staff was very friendly and attentive and service was quick too. We definitely plan to come back and try some of the noodle dishes as well. Very happy to have such a good sushi place so close to home now

Have ordered sushi to-go a couple more times now and everything has been excellent! The fish just tastes so fresh and staff is always friendly.

We enjoyed the food here. They offered different rolls than the other places around. I accidentally left my coat there and went back a week later, and they handed it to me. That shows great integrity of the staff for someone not to take it home.

So happy this place opened up at this location and crossing fingers they get their liquor license. Excellent fresh food, very friendly staff, and relaxed atmosphere inside. Hoping they have some outdoor seating once the weather gets nicer. Pricing is on point for good sushi and I will 100% be returning for both lunch and dinner spots.

Wow! We have been blown away by Sean and his team at Uni Sushi. All of the fish was incredibly fresh and beautifully arranged. The beef yaki udon was perfect on a cold day. We will definitely be back frequently.

The atmosphere is amazing and the food is very delicious! The food presentation is beautiful, it came in a little boat and was so cute. Staff is friendly and informative. Food came out in a timely manner with no inaccuracies. This is a great small business and I will definitely be coming back! Would 100% recommend 🙂
