Had to come visit this one to redeem the Newport location. And this one sure did. I also watched the waitresses helping other customers and all were accommodating everyone as you would expect them to. Looked like a well managed and properly trained store.

We get there at 3:pm on a Sunday Feb 15, 2026, they are open till 10pm. There were 4 tables of people we made 5. There was 10 staff, and after we were seated we waited 35 minutes and no one came to even give us water. We could see all the staff around chatting with each other and they could clearly see us staring at them. We decided we weren’t going to wait longer and to leave and eat elsewhere. We walked over to the takeout counter and ordered shakes to go. They just looked at us the whole time without saying a word. The worst customer service I’ve experienced in years. Talk about making you feel unwelcomed. If want to be ignored and treated like crap, eat here.

Our first time at this location! Always been to the Cranston and providence locations. But their service is always slow and our food is always cold regardless if we dine or get takeout. This location the staff is very attentive and considerate. She checked on us and made sure we had what we needed. Our food was served in a timely manner and was served hot! Highly recommend!

Shrinkflation has hit NC hard. Sundae cups are smaller, portions are smaller, cups are smaller all while charging $9+ for a 3 scoop sundae. Gave the restaurant a 4 star rating because its clearly corporate mandates rather than an issue with this location. For a family of 5 the bill for ice cream came to $37.64 before tip. Yes It’s sadly getting harder and harder to justify the cost when you can get a half gallon at the market for $5 not even on sale. Service was excellent, ice cream was tasty, but it will be awhile before we return.

10/17/25 My daughter had her choice of restaurants and she chose Newport Creamery. Arrived at 5:45 pm and was told to sit wherever we liked. We sat at the counter with another customer. We were there 15 minutes and not one employee acknowledged us. At least 4 different employees passed and made eye contact but not one stopped to ask if we were all set. The manager also passed us numerous times even stopping to help the customer on the side of us and still ignored our existence. We ended up just leaving and headed somewhere else. This is the second time this has happened to us at this location so I felt obligated to leave this review.

I called and placed an order. I asked forst do you serve Fish n chips she says yes. I ordered just that. I go there. Sit in a ridiculous line were every single person who works there looks at you but won’t say anything. They finally ask how they can help me and I said yes I have an oder for Shane an oder of fish n chips. She replys by saying ohh sorry we don’t have fish n chips today, you couldn’t have called me back?? I had to sit and wait in line for them to tell me my oder doesn’t exist you camt male this stuff up!! It was my FIRST QUESTION because I know they only have it certain days unreal

Me and my friends came here after our theatre play at Hendricken. Our server was Sophia, and she was ABSOLUTELY hilarious and kind. Service was fast, despite the chaos, and she was so kind and friendly. I tipped her $20, because she made my day. I may be 13, but I know when I see kind people in the real world.

My daughter and I had a great time at Newport Creamery! The place was spotless, the food was delicious, and the staff were friendly. Plus, we didn’t have to wait at all. The menu is diverse, with unique Newport Creamery creations, so there’s something for everyone. We’re definitely planning to return to this New England gem!
