It was our first visit and we ordered bacon deviled eggs for appetizer and I ordered the “spicy” chicken schnitzel sandwich. My husband had the chicken fried chicken. He thought it was great.
The deviled eggs were a bit bland. My sandwich didn’t even register on the spice scale.
It was a good sandwich, but if you like spicy at all you will be disappointed. My husband doesn’t like any heat in his food and he didn’t detect any when he tasted it.
Service was great, atmosphere was good and I’m giving it 5 stars because of that.

Texas Biergarten in Missouri City is one of those rare places that feels both thoughtfully curated and effortlessly welcoming — like someone took the best parts of Texas hospitality, added a strong understanding of what people actually want to eat and drink, and then resisted the urge to overcomplicate it.

The atmosphere strikes that perfect balance between lively and relaxed. You can come here to catch up with friends, celebrate something big, or just sit outside and convince yourself you’re the kind of person who “just stops by for one drink” (a noble goal that, like most New Year’s resolutions, lasts approximately 11 minutes once the food menu arrives).

The food is consistently solid, elevated without being pretentious. You get bold, satisfying flavors that feel intentional rather than trendy. The beer selection is excellent and diverse enough to keep enthusiasts happy,
but approachable enough that you don’t need a fermentation science degree or a bearded friend named Kyle to help you order.

Service is attentive without hovering, which is increasingly rare. Staff seem to actually like being there or they are world-class actors who deserve regional theater awards, and honestly, either way, I respect the commitment.

What really stands out is how Texas Biergarten manages to feel like a community spot while still delivering a polished experience. It’s the kind of place where you can show up in workout clothes, business casual, or “I just left Home Depot and made several questionable financial decisions,” and still feel perfectly at home.

If Missouri City had a living room, Texas Biergarten would be it. With better lighting, better beer, and significantly better snacks than whatever is currently in your pantry.

Stopped for lunch on a rainy day. We were given a booth in a warm spot and soon greeted by our server. Soon I was enjoying a craft beer while my wife had a Margie for National Margarita Day. She said it was good.
.
We started with the schnitzelized pickles and jalapenos. That is, breaded and fried. They were excellent.
.
We both had pork schnitzel sandwiches with fries. The fries were very unusual, like a quarter potato, cooked perfectly until the center was fluffy.
.
The sandwich was fine. The cutlet was thicker than expected, cooked very well but too lightly seasoned. It came with a forgettable slice of cheese and a sturdy brioche bun. It is served with a pint of mushroom gravy which added much need moisture and flavor.
.
Overall, it was a good experience on a cold rainy day.

I had a great experience at Texas Biergarten! The staff was absolutely lovely, warm, welcoming, and attentive from start to finish. The food was a delicious mix of southern comfort and German classics, hearty and flavorful just like you’d hope. On top of that, I met some really cool people while I was there, including the owner Tom, who was friendly and made the atmosphere feel even more inviting. Definitely a place worth visiting if you’re looking for good food, good vibes, and good company.

This place has its high points, but over all I’m going to say “nope” and recommend that you just skip it. Well, the food anyway. I imagine the beer is ok. The hoisin pork ribs were inedible. They were, ahem, bone dry, but the fatal problem was they were too salty to eat. The hoisin sauce, I didn’t like it. We had to return it and get them to replace it with a Philly Cheesesteak. Which was good but over twenty dollars for a cheesesteak, I just can’t see that. The fish and chips were lousy. Very similar to a Mrs. Paul’s fish filet. Really, just about like that. I’m thinking those are a packaged commercial product rather than prepared in-house, and they just aren’t worth ordering in a restaurant. We are in a time of disastrous inflation and I keep telling myself I’m going to stop complaining about astronomical prices, but the rules have simply changed. If you’re going to pay 75 dollars for a basic meal for two, the restaurant is going to need to deliver. Prices like that return us to the days when eating out was a rare indulgence. On that case the restaurant can’t be iffy, it needs to be great, and inedible ribs, lousy sauce, and commercial Mrs. Paul’s fish filet earns Texas Biergarten a spot on my “no go, ever” list.

I wanted some good German food. The Texas Biergarten has it. The hostess was kind and promptly seated us. Our waitress was fantastic. The food was excellent! I tried a Ruben sandwich called forbidden love that also has a schnitzel inside. It was heavenly!

This was our first visit, but far from the last. It is so nice to go to a restaurant where the staff actually cares about the customer. The waitress met us at the door and seated us, and she was so happy she danced all the way to the table.
She was attentive and took great care of us, but not in a way that indicated she was just trying to get a bigger tip.
The atmosphere is fun, with great country music, several TVs, and beer tap handles on the walls. There is also a selection of board games on hand.
Now for the reason we all go out to eat, the food. They have some specials which aren’t on the menu every day, such as chili and gumbo. We got a cup of gumbo and really enjoyed it. It’s made with chicken and sausage, and served with rice and crackers. It was really good. My wife got the chicken fried steak and gravy with mashed potatoes, and I got the pork schnitzel and gravy with mashed potatoes. She said it was the best CFS she had had in years, and I don’t ever remember a schnitzel this good in the greater Houston area. These were the lunch portions.
We are both excited to head back soon for more great food and music.

I am an almost regular customer here. I usually order the salmon or the medium steak . I was so hungry, but the steak was so flavorless, fried on the outside and dull on the inside. Also the menu said cooked in butter but it was cooked in oil, which makes a lot of difference if anyone knows what I am talking about. The deviled eggs and the dill pickles were awesome as usual. Won’t try meat from here anymore. But the bar is vibrant and chill

I didn’t know what to expect before visiting this place, but I was pleasantly surprised by some of the German-inspired eats here! I ordered the smoked bratwurst plate, bacon deviled eggs, and also tried the Pork Schnitzel and Chicken fried chicken. The Bratwurst sausages were flavorful and juicy, and I really enjoyed eating the sausages with sauerkraut and dill mustard sauce. The portions for the pork schnitzel and chicken fried chicken were huge as well. They also have German-inspired beers imported from Fredericksburg! Definitely a nice atmosphere for relaxing with some good food and drinks.

The only menu item I didn’t like was the pickled red cabbage (it tasted weirdly kinda sweet).

Portions aren’t huge, chicken schnitzel was a little overdone. They were short-staffed the night we were there but the girl that took care of us was doing her very best. Puppy bingo on Wednesday nights is great fun!!!!
