This is the best “hole in the wall” family owned business. Seriously so flavorful and the portion sizes and prices are great. The interior could use a little updating though. Would come back again.

This restaurant serves a good variety of dishes from various parts of China and from Taiwan. Although prices have went up noticeably from last year, the taste and the quantity of the food served are still very good. The service provided by the staff is also commendable.

This is where my girlfriend and I have basically met. Food is extraordinary. Family style is really good. Service staff sometimes could be a little bit rude but they’re busy. I get it. It’s always full on the weekends. People travel from San Francisco just to have this place. Lunch specials are really good

We arrived at 1:20pm, but there is still a line. We have to wait for 25min.
However, the wait worth it.

All the dishes we ordered tasted great! Portions are large too! We especially love the chinese pancake and the pork bun. The sweet and sour fried pork slices is also authentic!

There are plenty of choices to try and we will come again.

Extremely tasty authentic northeastern Chinese food. Good portions for sizes. The crepe rolls were very similar to the ones from China, quite large as well. The dough stick is super deep fried and crispy. We enjoyed the soups/congees as well, especially the lamb soup which is hard to find elsewhere. Server was nice as well though I think we scared him with how much we ordered

Food: Super authentic Chinese dishes! It’s a gem hidden in the plaza. Really love their dishes here and even got a takeout menu copy in our car, so we can order it whenever we feel like having it Dinner time offers free dessert and if you’re into Asian foods, you’ll love this place!

Service: they’re okay with both English and Chinese.

Ambiance: Family restaurant vibe but many party of 2 also comes here to enjoy dishes, and leftovers are good for another meal

I forgot how good this place is.

Salty Soy bean milk – This is really tailored to my taste. I’ve had a few of them at famous restaurants in Taiwan but I like this better.

Onion cake – very good. Thin and fluffy. Excellent.

Spicy beef noodle soup – the soup flavor is very good, spicy enough but what caught my attention is the texture of the noodle. It’s very Al dente.

Chicken fried rice – I say it’s slightly above average. Not bad.

Beijing meat pancake – the meat is firmer than I hoped for but the taste and the pancake crust was really good.

Walnut chicken – That was the surprised. My son ordered it and I have lots of doubt about it. I’ve had Walnut prawns before but Walnut chicken… It turned out extraordinary. I didn’t like chicken breast but you couldn’t tell the difference. It’s very crunchy and chewy. The sauce also very good.

I’m going to have to come more often.

We had the bamboo shoot soup with pickled and fresh streaky pork, salt and pepper pork chop, steamed sea bass, and sautéed snow pea sprout. Everything was tasty and made me feel like home. I haven’t had these types of dishes in a while!

The soup really warmed me up, the sea bass was delicious, and I really liked their snow pea sprout.

We went for breakfast and absolutely enjoyed the food! They offer so many authentic Chinese breakfast options, such as the classic sweet soy milk & fried dough. The sweet soy milk portion is much larger than we expected, enough for 2 people to share. The fried dough is very crispy, loved it! We also had the Chinese chive pocket, it’s full of fillings! Food portion is great, we packed left out for next day’s breakfast. Great value. Will definitely come back again!

One of my favorite chinese food places in the bay!! I love the generous portions, and reasonable prices (most dishes are $15-$18, and extremely large entrees). I highly recommend the garlic eggplant+chicken, as well as the chongqing spicy chicken!

They also serve a delicious free dessert!
