We found El Fogoncito by a recommendation. We needed terrific Mexican food for a family celebration. El Fogoncito did not disappoint ! The food was fabulous and coordinating the menu and delivery was seamless. The Tres Leches cake we ordered was over the moon delicious. Our guests loved everything! We highly recommend El Fogoncito for all your Mexican food catering needs. Although we are New Yorkers, the party was in Palm Beach Gardens, making delivery super easy . Thanks, Omar and family for making our celebration so special.

Came here to try and get some good Mexican food based on rating. Not likely though, We got chips and salsa, no tortilla chips,we got some hard chips..smh. tried the margarita or Sugar and water with a splash of lime i’d say. If you’re a Mexican restaurant, don’t drop the ball on your margarita ok. Please, I beg of you. I ended up getting the berria tacos, No favor in the meat or the dipping sauce whatsoever. if I had to choose or recommend I’d probably choose elsewhere to have a better Mexican experience. Server was ok but no outgoing. Nice little spot. I wish them well. Fix that Margarita though No bueno.

Best Chili Rellenos I have had in a long time. The chili was plump and fresh with lots of cheese you can sink your teeth into. The burrito was very large and packed with flavor. Of course love the red and green salsa with chip. All this was great with a cold draft beer.

This was by far the best Mexican food I’ve had in a long while. I had shrimp tacos and they were absolutely delicious. My mother also had shrimp tacos she couldn’t finish but loved! My husband had tacos el pastor and also agreed this is the best Mexican food he’s had outside of LA. Even our 11 year old loved her chicken and french fries. We’ll definitely be back.

El Fogoncito is the kind of place that is so very good that I’m not sure if I want everyone to know about it or not.

Seriously, It’s really that good.

They manage to craft classic Northern Mexican dishes in such a way that they seem trendy and unique in the best of ways! All of their offerings taste fresh and handcrafted. Each sauce seems singular in its flavors and components.

As someone who has lived in Southern California and traveled the American Southwest, I can say that this equals the food found there – perhaps less spicy, but certainly as unique and flavorful.

There is an ignorant, old joke about Mexican food simply being different combinations of the same handful of ingredients. El Fogoncito is the perfect example that disproves such ridiculous, reductionist and simplistic interpretations of this unique culinary heritage!

For example, they serve one of my favorite comfort foods – pork tamales with a red chili sauce. Without getting too much into it, they are simply out of this world!

Another of my favorites are served only on the weekends – birria des res tacos! It’s a take on the trend of placing stewed meat (classically goat, but in this case: beef) onto fresh corn tortillas with lots of cheese and grilling them on the griddle while steeping them in the stews juices, thus caramelizing the whole into a crispy, chewy, gooey and satisfying mess of a dish. It is so good that it must simply be tasted to be believed!

Another thing I get here but virtually nowhere else are the nachos – a dish that I normally consider too gringotastic and pedestrian that I never care to eat it. El Fogoncito, however, makes a version with their toothesome homemade chips in which they carefully layer each of the components so that this dish takes on a certain complexity that I have had nowhere else. It is also so filling as to be a meal!

Other than that, they serve quite a broad selection of dishes that all hover about the $10 mark with some dishes being priced in the low teens. Their tortas are also not to be missed, especially the one made with local mahi mahi. The only thing I don’t recommend are the fajitas. They are adequate but I’ve had better elsewhere. This version has too much melted cheese and too little peppers and onions. Literally, get anything else here and be impressed!

This place is truly an undiscovered gem. I rarely recommend a place as highly as I do this one. It is not to be missed!

We ordered take out so I can’t comment on the br atmosphere or service but the food was really good. We had a burrito bowl, a couple of quesadillas, rice and beans, & chips with salsa/guacamole.

Relished the traditional Aztec steak and shrimp molcajete, loaded with bold chorizo, nourishing nopalitos cactus, caramelized onions, roasted chilies, and Farmers Jack cheese. The chicken tamale and shrimp tostada were equally gratifying, and the homemade horchata was a sweet and refreshing complement to the meal.

This is Marco, your Local Guide & Realtor with RE/MAX. El Fognocito is an elite place in Jupiter if you are looking for AUTHENTIC Mexican Food. It is open for Lunch & Dinner. The food is amazing and tastes like home cooking. The tacos and burritos are literally mouth watering, but if you want something lighter they have this outstanding Acapulco Chicken Salad with their HOMEMADE secret dressing. It’s OUT OF THIS WORLD!! If you are in the mood for Mexican and a relaxed environment, this is your spot. Staff are super nice and the prices are FAIR. Not super low but not high!
