I finally had lunch at Billy’s burgers, I’ve always wanted to try them. I’m so glad I did. The service was absolutely wonderful, fast and friendly service. Had a lovely chat with Billy . And he even brought over extra napkins for me when my burger was getting a bit drippy. I had the double billy burger. OMG it was the best burger I’ve ever had and that’s saying something because I’ve had a lot burgers . The patties were juicy and the bum was soft and fresh . The chips were awesome too. I will definitely go back next time I’m in Hobart. I highly recommend Billy’s Burgers

Got here just before they close at 8pm (wish they worked until later but I guess it’s just how things are in Hobart). Ordered a takeaway — Big Billy and fries. Ate this in the hotel 10 min later, and honestly wanted to get one more, the burger was so delicious! Juicy, properly seasoned, nice sauce. The fries are crispy and tasty too. The best burger in Tasmania so far (tried only Haus and Hungry Jacks, one of the few places open after 8pm), and probably one of the best burgers I’ve had in whole Australia (I’d say better than Betty’s).
EDIT: came back next day 8 minutes before they closed but was refused to get a burger even for takeaway, people were still eating inside though.

Billy is extremely friendly and welcoming, which already makes the experience great from the start. The food is absolutely delicious, and the atmosphere is light and relaxed. The menu offers several tasty and well-thought-out options, including great choices for kids and vegetarians. Definitely a great spot for a quick bite before exploring the Hobart waterfront or before taking the ferry to MONA. Would absolutely recommend!

We dropped in during a stopover. It’s exactly what you’d expect from a burger shop by the harbour. Except this one is clean, friendly, prompt, and the food was fresh. Very impressed with the fries!

Pulled pork loaded fries are a standout – like amazing. The burgers however are nothing amazing, not bad but not wow. Service is good and the shop itself is clean and comfy. Also a bit overpriced

Stopped in with my Mum and honestly… don’t waste your time or money at the big burger chains. Come here instead. The service was so genuine from the moment Leo welcomed us in, and the food absolutely delivered.
I had the onion rings, mac and cheese bites and boneless chicken, and Mum had a burger and chips – everything was fresh, tasty and actually seasoned. Proper comfort food done right.
If you want good vibes, good people and food that hits the spot, Billy’s is the one.

I have been here a few times and never had a bad experience. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. They offer interesting cocktail choices which are like an alcoholic lollies bar..not my style but I like the creativity. The burgers are tasty and the chips and onion rings are really good. I usually eat in as it is a good vibe..at lunch with families around and in the evenings with younger people before they go out. And being situated right at the harbour front it’s easy to get to and from.

Fantastic food! We had the Billy’s Burger combo, and the Cheeseburger on its own, with the best Vanilla thickshake. We were extremely happy with everything and couldn’t fault any of the meal or service.

Great atmosphere! It was quiet when we were there, but it still had a great atmosphere, and we’d definitely recommend Billy’s Burgers to anyone wanting a great tasting meal, in a place with prompt service and friendly and attentive staff.

Billy, Billy, Billy… Having been a huge fan of this American-style burger restaurant for years now, our latest experience was anything but what we expected. What was arguably the best loaded fries ive ever eaten (with a cheesy sauce, pulled pork, pickles, and more) has descended into a choice of 3 options with the pulled pork one priced at $20, so I ran with the cheesy sauce with bacon at a little over $13. After spending $22.50 on a mixed platter – which my wife described as disgusting and couldnt finish – and $35 on a Big Billy burger for a total bill of more than $60, I just couldn’t justify the pork option. The cheesy sauce was like a canned mac cheese sauce I had in Karft Mac n Cheese packs as a kid, that made me feel sick by the end of the meal so I couldn’t finish it. I tried the jalepino poppers, onion rings and mac and cheese bites from my wife’s platter, which seemed to be from frozen food packs, and my wife said the buffalo chicken was dry and not enjoyable. To be fair, the burger tasted okay – but nothing better than a Maccas Big Arch Burger that was a third of the price. I felt ill after the meal from the sugars, carbs and greasiness and didnt eat again at dinner. My wife and I will never return. Wouldn’t eat at Billy’s again if it was free. Overpriced, poor quality and tasteless platter, a shocking step back in the quality of loaded fries that used to be epic, a tasty burger, but generally a dreadful dining experience. Don’t waste your money here. This just isn’t the same Billy’s.
