However, we had some issues with price transparency.
I ordered the pollo yucatan, I asked to add mushrooms and onions. The waiter didn’t mention it would be extra or how much. When we got the bill the price of my entree was increased $4 for the sprinkling of additional toppings on my entree. My husband ordered the Special of the day and was charged the regular price. I approached the manager about these issues and she was rather condescending. When I asked why he didnt get the special price she said because the order was placed at 4:45pm not 5pm… She offered to give me the $1 back in the special vs regular price, but not for my $4 mushroom & onion. I said don’t worry about it because our card has already been charged. She said oh okay, yeah your bill has already been paid, like there was nothing she could do at that point.
I feel like if our business was valued there should have been more of an effort or at least a better attitude to remedy the issue.
As a level 5 local guide, you could say I’ve been around the block, so much that it’s comparable to Tetris. When I arrived here, I was peckish, and decided to indulge in some empanadas, which were advertised as “4 fresh empanadas of your choice”.
When they arrived, my stomach lurched, surely, these small empanadas were not what the doctor ordered! There were 5-6 of them, and they were as small as a salt and pepper shaker.
As I bit into the first one, my optimism faced the grim reality: these tasted bad.
Not inedible, but I would only eat these if I were featured on the hit show Alone, where contestants have to scavenge for food in the woods. If I were scavenging, I would not pass them up, but until that dark post apocalyptic day, I cannot recommend this establishment, lest my honor as a local guide be stained.
Also the soft tacos were mid.
Service was very good. A wide range of choices, and some vegetarian options.
Bonus points for being super clean, bathrooms included.
I’m looking forward to going back and doing takeout.
There was a short wait but after being seated chips and salsa came fast along with drinks.
Ordered the lunch Pollo Monterrey, it came fast was very fresh and delicious!
I don’t think they were expecting such a large crowd.
We are very happy to have them here in Bedford!
