We came into town from the valley on our mini anniversary trip to the coast last week. We smelled lunch coming from Umi Bento and decided to take a chance. Not only was the food delicious, the owner was super friendly and let us sample some of his new sauce (which was amazing too). We absolutely loved the laid back atmosphere, the chicken bento, and the bao. We will definitely return for more the next time we stop by Manzanita! Don’t miss out.

stopped by at the beginning of my stay to find they were sold out. was able to catch them on my way out of town and happy i did. food hit the spot. great service and people. will be sure to come back next time i find myself on the coast.

Vegetarian option seems like an after thought… although I appreciate they had one.
Meat options look good if you eat meat, but the “vegetable curry” was chunks of half a large potato and baby carrots from the supermarket over rice. The curry sauce itself was good. Will give it another shot if the vegetarian option ever changes.

This is a simple place with a small menu, but the chicken bento we had was really good. The chicken and the rice were perfectly cooked. They had a busy day and ran out of some dishes, but it didn’t matter to us. If you want a quick, tasty bowl of food, this is a great place to go.
