From a guy who spent 6 years in japan. I am positive that fish bones, scales and dermis skin do not belong in sashimi. Over the years of eating at this diner as far as the sashimi is concerned being primarily a sashimi/sushi consumer. I have witnessed the quality and attention to detail go from good to not so good to bad and now to we just do not care, go somewhere else if you do not like it attitude about any kind of quality. The quality has left the house but the prices stay the same. Of coarse your not going to get true authentic japanese food in the US but if you make claims of being a japanese steakhouse and sushi bar you would think they would try. Any traditional japanese people would be offended in this place. Everything gets americognized I guess when you stop caring about the culture who created this unique delicacy. Refined art focused on purity, freshness, and meticulous skill, emphasizing the ingredient’s natural flavor through precise slicing and immaculate cleanliness has left sakura Japanese steakhouse and sushi bar. I will give the manager relief from myself and I now will never return to this diner.

The sushi was excellent. The salmon nigiri was butter soft, and melted in your mouth. It was very good. However, the wait staff was trying too quickly to clear the dishes. At one point even trying to take my miso soup bowl before I even ate the soup!

Everything about this place is just the best. The tables were beautiful, the sashimi was fresh and delicious. The presentation was aesthetically pleasing. The ambiance was peaceful and pleasant, with a very kind and attentive waitress. I will definitely be back.

Went for a professional achievement celebration. No hibachi tables, all was cooked in the kitchen. Service was below average but acceptable. Food was average. Maybe food cooked table side at the hibachi grill is better. Prices were on the high side. There was no forced gratuity, but their menu did have a forced 18% if you sit at the hibachi table (which again was closed on a Friday night). Give this one a miss.

The food here is so tasty and savory! I had the Teriyaki chicken, and wow…. The chicken was so tender and the Teriyaki sauce was simply divine. I also had the spicy crab roll- also amazing. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly.l, and the dining area was peaceful and clean. I would love to come back here!

Was surprised the teppanyaki portion of the restaurant was closed. Ordered the combo chicken, shrimp, and beef anyway as they cooked in the back and bought to the table. At other Teppanyaki restaurants, the sauce is separate from the meats, but in this case, it was not. For me the sauces were overly drenched and the chicken was tough. However, John the waiter was on top of our orders and making sure we were taken care of. I would like to come back once the Teppanyaki portion of the restaurant is open as I am sure the experience would be a more positive experience.

First time here. Found it on our way moving from PA to NM. Glad we did. Their food, atmosphere, and the staff were so pleasant. And the food…
We had the Sushi for Two and the Dancing Dragon Roll. So good.
The selection for the Sushi for Two was awesome, and the Dancing Dragon… I’ve never had sushi so good.
Highly recommended.
