We came in last minute on Valentines Day, and would have had a reservation had I known I was going to be called off work. The host told us it would be a wait, but never specified a time, so we didn’t think it would be that long. After we arrived, she offered a table in the bar area to multiple arrivals (at least 4) before waiting at least 45 minutes to offer it to us. We didn’t even get our complimentary bread until after our appetizer because we asked for it.
The menu was limited due to the holiday, but we still waited longer than reasonable for a medium (very low quality, full of gristle) steak and lobster. The twice baked potato and mashed potatoes were like eating paste.
From the atmosphere it’s clear they cater to their regulars, which is fine. But even if the food was better, why would we want to go to a place where an open table was offered to others who arrived after us?

Torchlite is still the best place to eat in Shawano county! My wife and I came here 31 years ago on our first dinner date for our homecoming dance in our junior year at Marion High School. It was excellent then and it continues to be just as amazing. Great bar, salad bar and staff that truly cares about making sure you are taken care of. See you next summer!

Our first time at this supper club gem. WOW! It was old school supper club with a modern touch. The staff was so kind and friendly and fun. The salad bar was delicious! We had prime rib and their special chicken dish– loved it! Highly recommend the twice baked potato. Got a side of asparagus too and it was done perfectly. After the week we had, the old fashion hit the spot. It was worth the drive and a great night! Thanks!

Came with a group of 10 plus people for a birthday. We were told no seperate bills from the waitress so that all our food comes out at the same time! Fabulous yes we can do that, we’ll figure the bill out after dinner. Everyone ordered food, we waited over an hour for food to even start trickling out. I was lucky enough to order the ribeye done medium and a twice back potato. (easy enough) The waitress started slowly bringing a plate at a time to table. By the time I was again lucky enough to receive my meal last! A half hour after everyone in our party. Mind you by that time they were done eating. My steak came out blue… Raw… Might as well been mooing. The twice baked potato was glue, cold and disgusting. We spent over $500 and left a very generous tip. Told the waitress that my steak was raw and she didn’t offer anything but a drink from the bar. As I was DD I declined the $9 drink.
The clientele there obviously have never seen children as we had very well behaved children with us and the older people decided to shake heads and glare at the kids. Definitely not a family restaurant.
There are better places to spend money at. Disgusting.

Fun Saturday night out, got reservations for a large group. Didn’t have to wait long once we arrived, food was very good, salad bar and bread first rate but kitchen backed up so waited quite a long time for meals but no big deal. Soup also very good. Olde Fashions very good and potent. Lobster reasonably priced but a bit dry (old or overcooked?)

The Torch Lite definitely provides the quintessential Wisconsin Supper Club experience. Friday night fish fry with a brandy old fashioned, of course! We had the AYCE cod which comes with choice of potato, mini cole slaw, a mini loaf of warm bread served table side, and a trip to the salad bar. And, a lovely salad bar it is, featuring supper club crackers and bread sticks with cheese spread, liver pate spread, garlic toast, pickled beats, and the usual salad fixings. They filled the plate with cod and fries, so after the salad bar most people will be challenged to finish the main entre of fish. I’m not most people, (kind of a beast, if you must know), so I ordered more cod. They delivered seven more pieces, but they are about one third the size of a traditional cod fillet. I, however, enjoyed that aspect, because the smaller pieces are more readily hand held. They don’t fall apart while you dip them in the delicious tartar sauce, for example. The new owners run the place well because the service went very smoothly. It’s more of modern building with high ceilings giving it an open and airy feel. Apparently, the previous owners had a small menagerie of exotic animals out back. We saw a lone camel during our visit. I wouldn’t get too close though… I hear those things can really hump.

Stopped by on recommendation from former employee here. Had the Cod with twice baked potato and some cheese curds. Definitely worth every dollar and the service was Top-Notch!!! We will for sure be coming back again!

Beautiful place but under cooked duck not once but twice on the same plate rice was flooded in blood and they didnt replace that just kept taking the meat back and forth it was delicious but a tad bit irritating my family was done eatin before I started
