We stumbled upon Aria’s Wine Bar while exploring the area and looking for a place to eat without a reservation. To our luck, they were able to seat us outside right away. It didn’t seem like there was any issue getting outdoor seating—perhaps because it was late October and a bit chilly—but we didn’t mind at all. The staff were incredibly accommodating and attentive to every table.

Our waiter (I wish I could remember his name!) was especially wonderful. He was friendly, helpful, and full of great recommendations. We told him we wanted to enjoy some drinks and small plates, and he guided us perfectly.

We ended up ordering all of his suggestions, and every dish was fantastic. The fried calamari was crisp, perfectly seasoned, and had great texture. The prosciutto with burrata drizzled in truffle oil was rich and flavorful. And to finish, the tiramisu was heavenly—soft, creamy, and exactly what I was hoping for.

For drinks, my wife enjoyed a glass of wine, and I had a refreshing mojito—both were excellent complements to our meal.

Overall, we had such a lovely experience and can’t wait to return to try the main dishes next time. Thank you, Aria’s Wine Bar, for a delicious and memorable evening!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Aria West Village

Aria West Village continues to be one of my favorite neighborhood spots. The pasta is consistently delicious—perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and clearly made with care. Every dish we ordered was comforting yet elevated, the kind of food you crave long after you leave.

What truly made the experience stand out was our waiter, Alex. He was attentive, warm, and incredibly knowledgeable without ever being intrusive. His recommendations were spot-on, and he made the entire evening feel relaxed and seamless.

Between the outstanding service, cozy atmosphere, and exceptional pasta, Aria never disappoints. Highly recommend—and if you’re lucky enough to have Alex taking care of you, you’re in great hands.

We stopped by Aria in the West Village on a whim to ask if they had any availability for 6 PM—and the manager was incredibly kind and welcoming. He told us to come back at 6, and when we arrived right on time, he personally sat us in a cozy corner spot. Such a warm start!

Service was definitely a highlight. The staff was friendly, attentive, and really on top of everything without ever feeling rushed. They checked in at the right moments and made the experience feel relaxed and easy.

As for the food, it was good—nothing overly spectacular, but still enjoyable. The ambiance and service definitely carried the experience. Aria is a charming neighborhood spot tucked along Bedford, perfect for casual drinks, small bites, and soaking in that West Village vibe.

A nice place to stop by if you’re in the area and want something simple with great service and a welcoming atmosphere.

A really good – very reasonably priced – Italian restaurant in West Village – all the food was super tasty and service sizes were generous – including the steaks. Very nice atmosphere – but it is very loud. The service was very good as well. If you need an Italian restaurant in the Village – Aria is a great choice.

(We went again recently – and again everything was great. It was much less busy and super pleasant.)

Had a wonderful experience at Aria West Village. Angel was an exceptional bartender—warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive, which immediately set the tone for the night. The food was absolutely delicious, beautifully prepared, and full of flavor. A perfect spot for great service, great drinks, and a fantastic overall dining experience. Highly recommend.

Absolutely love this place. If you can’t find a table, try their sister restaurant around the corner. Such a cozy vibe instead with great specials. We started off with the goat cheese and tomato sauce and the meatballs. Both were killer and I’d order them again. For starters, we had the risotto of the day which was mushroom and Parmesan risotto, and the penne pasta. Overall fantastic meal with quick service.

My friend and I truly enjoyed the service at Aria’s. We had the Gnocchi and the Soufflé. Both were super yummy.

We sat outside so I am unable to comment much on the ambience. But appeared to be very calm and quiet on the inside.

Searched RESY for a tapas restaurant and was plenary surprised when an Italian restaurant showed up. We did not have reservations and went at 5 on a Friday. We were seated with no issue, at this point it was basically empty. Within half an hour there wasn’t a seat in the place.
We had the grilled octopus salad as well as the goat cheese and mango salad to start. Both were outstanding. For main courses we had the lobster risotto and the lamb shank. The lobster was cut into pieces like little prizes throughout the risotto. The bone on lamb shank over risotto was so tender it fell off the bone.
We will absolutely be back, we loved this meal!

Aria Wine Bar is one of our all-time favorite spots in NYC — we’ve been loyal customers for over 12 years and it never disappoints! The food is always delicious, truly like being back in Italy The atmosphere is warm and vibrant, and the service is consistently amazing — friendly, fast, and full of charm.

The only (tiny!) downside this time: no mayonnaise for the calamari fritti. I’m not a fan of dipping them in warm tomato sauce. But honestly, everything else was perfect as always. Aria remains a must-visit in the West Village. Thank you for all these wonderful memories over the years!
