This review is long overdue! What an amazing bakery and Team! Their food is delicious and attention to detail is spot-on. If you have special requests (allergies, preferences, etc) they are most accommodating. We’ve been going to this bakery for years and have not been disappointed.

Once In A Blue Moon did an incredible job with our wedding cake. The cake they created looked exactly how I imagined and hoped it would. Not only was it absolutely stunning, but it also tasted incredible. So many of our guests commented on how delicious it was. They were also great to work with in the consultation/planning process. We even changed our design pretty significantly after our initial consultation and they still understood exactly what we wanted. We also loved the process for the tasting. They create take-out trays with all the cake, frosting, and mousse options, which we were able to try at home with our families to decide what cake combination we wanted. From start to finish, the experience was seamless, and the final result exceeded all expectations.

I had a birthday cake made by Once in A Blue Moon Bakery & Café for March 1, and it was absolutely delicious. The cake tasted amazing, and the music notes on the outside were the perfect touch that made it feel extra special. On top of that, the customer service was A1 from start to finish—friendly, professional, and attentive. I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend them for custom cakes and great service.

It was my kids and I first time here and it will not be our last. I got a chocolate chip cookie, my oldest daughter tried red velvet for the fist time in the form of a cupcake, thr youngest daughter had a vanilla cupcake, and my son, who is more of a salty person over sweets, got a triple chocolate brownie and he loved it. The prices are great and you get more than enough for what you paid for. The parking is in a very small shopping center so I recommend parking on the street (free 1 hour parking).

Best birthday cake EVER! We ordered the 6″ Far Out Frangelico and it was incredible. Rich, creamy and moist! On a scale from 1 to 10, I would give this cake 20 stars. (UPDATE: We also ended up ordering this cake for my husbands birthday as well, and will be ordering it again, for Christmas). 12/14/25

Once in a Blue Moon Bakery did such a wonderful job for our wedding! We chose to do a smaller cutting cake and assorted cupcakes and brownies for our desserts and our guests absolutely loved it! Everything was delicious. I couldn’t be happier about our cake . It was exactly what I wanted and they did such an amazing job. Highly recommend them for your wedding!!

Such a cute well known bakery. Friendly smiles, yummy treats. I come here just for the gluten free brownie, I believe it may be the only GF treat they have in the case. It’s amazing! They don’t always have them so it’s best to inquire before you head out. Give Blue moon bakery a try!

Once In A Blue Moon Bakery in Cary is my go-to bakery!! I plan monthly dinners with a group of eleven ladies and we celebrate each other’s birthdays. I always have Once In A Blue Moon Bakery make the birthday cakes, and I always have their cake artist(s) add decor to the top and sides of the cake. They do a PHENOMENAL job each and every time! Attached are a few pics of a cake I just had them make for one of our birthday dinners…just incredible attention to detail…and the cakes are ALWAYS super delicious! Leanna is my go-to person for ordering/designing my cakes…she, and the entire staff, at this bakery are wonderful (a special shout out to Michelle, their lead cake artist)! If you have not tried this bakery, put it on your list, you will not be disappointed!!
