I want to like this place so much. The people are so friendly and its such a cozy little place to eat but you cant scrape the sides and the bottom of the rice and cheese and add the burnt food to what people consume. It drastically alters the taste of the food. Two different times in a row ordering the burrito and thats what I get. Please see photos.

I took time to write them a review because they absolutely deserve it. 10/5 stars on the food. It is SO good. The drink I had was large, fresh, and delicious. They have a salsa bar!
It’s a small place if you’re looking to dine in but if you just want FABULOUS Mexican food, it’s a must. It’s worth the short jaunt into Lexington to if you’re on the interstate passing through.
The nacho fries are AMAZING. They’re made with curly fries and HUGE. I have tried nacho fries, tacos, and a burrito so far.

Wow! This is definitely one of the best burritos I’ve ever tasted. You can really savor all the ingredients, and it’s amazing how they blend so well. Plus, you can see the pride in the staff and how much they care about supporting their community.

I came in to address an issue with an order of rice we had just purchased. The rice had a strong off smell and did not taste right. As soon as I walked in, before even looking at the food, I was told, “Our rice is good, I’ve been eating it.”
I opened the box and explained that it smelled like it had gone bad. The response was dismissive. One employee grabbed my box and started eating from it, saying it was fine. When I explained that I’ve experienced spoiled rice before and that people can get very sick from it, another employee also began eating from my box and insisted nothing was wrong. Instead of listening to my concern, they seemed offended and treated me like I was accusing them of something dishonest.
The rice genuinely smelled bad and did not taste good. Although they eventually gave me a refund, the way the situation was handled was extremely unprofessional. I felt embarrassed, dismissed, and blamed. As I was leaving, one of them sarcastically asked, “How was the torta? I bet that was good… or was that bad too?” even though I never complained about anything else.
I didn’t go in looking for a problem. I just wanted to let them know about a serious food concern. Especially since the food was for my toddler. The lack of respect and professionalism was very disappointing. Unfortunately, the way this situation was handled left a very bad impression.

We are just passing through, needed some dinner. We have 4 families in our group and we all ordered. Try the guacasalsa if you like spicy…. SO GOOD!!! They have a large salsa bar, fresh chips, and fresh chopped veggies. They use grilled fresh jalapeños and onions as a signature side for each entree.
Quesabirria: very cheesy, flavorful but could have used some more spice. The tortillas were tough but that’s to be expected. 4*
Super asada burrito: delicious, and HUGE! If you’re not a big eater, this could easily feed 2 people. The asada was cooked perfectly and tender.
Asada taco: YUM!!! I topped it with the guacasalsa which is kinda spicy and it was perfection.
Veggie super burrito: again, HUGE, but real good flavor.
Asada fries: the kids loved them.

El Sazon catered for us, a group of around 35 on 8/22/25. Both the food and service were amazing. They brought their own griddle and cooked fresh on sight, the smell alone was amazing. All three meat choices were delicious. Salsa bar and all the toppings to make this meal absolutely fantastic. They bagged up leftovers and cleaned up everything. I would 10/10 hire them again.

Amazing!!! I would have taken a picture….. however, it was just too good and welp….. it’s all gone! Was told by a local that it’s the best in town! It’s got me believing the same too! Will definitely frequent again and again!
