Absolutely LOVED the food and service here! A friend and I were visiting Big Sky from out of town and loved how close China Cafe was to where we were staying. It’s right in the middle of town, easily accessible, and provides incredible service. It’s take-out only which is perfect for times like these and the sesame tofu was phenomenal! Highly recommend getting a few meals from here!

Chinese food is my very favorite and finding decent Chinese in these parts is difficult so when I discovered the China Cafe I was delighted. The food is very good. We love the
Cashew Chicken and Sesame Chicken. Really anything we have tried we have enjoyed immensely. My husband and I highly recommend the China Cafe.

China cafe is the best!!!! The owners are the kindest humans! Their food is incredible, especially for take home Chinese. They always are so happy to greet you and the donuts are a nice touch in the morning.
All the post that say “they need to answer their phone or there’s bad customer service,” need to get a grip.

The title is literal – this is too small to be called a restaurant, but it is every bit a cafe. And that isn’t a bad thing. There still is plenty of room between tables that you don’t feel like you’re being herded in like cattle. The service was great; what I would expect from a family run cafe/restaurant.
Tea please: My wife and I, for better or worse, base our Chinese restaurants first on the tea. When you are seated, do they bring that authentic herbal tea in the stainless steal kettle? If they don’t, something just feels amiss. China Cafe has this, thus we got off on the right foot.
Food: The egg drop soup was done well, but the egg parts could have been bigger. For our entree we shared the General Tao Chicken because typically there is enough for us to share. You can tell that the meat, and veggies are fresh. The taste was spot on and it’s served with a hearty size bowl of white rice. Oh, and we have leftovers!
The price: The price is what I would call reasonable. It’s not too expensive, but it certainly isn’t cheap Chinese. This is probably a combination of the cost to truck in food, and the price to stay open year round.
Overall – good food and service at a fare price.

The food is really good here! They have hot tea, and after you finish, you get a fortune cookie.
They give you forks, but if you want to, you can ask for chopsticks too.
The restaurant is small, however, the attention is really good, and is an enjoyable experience.

Visited Feb 2021- this review is limited to the coffee/donuts they serve in the morning and let me just say, you MUST go. This is a little hidden gem in Big Sky. After drinking coffee maker coffee in our rental all week, ordering an iced americano really hit the spot. Great espresso, quick friendly service, and the donuts are delicious.

Wasn’t anything special. I said little spice on my food and it came with absolutely none, my partner got a chicken in brown sauce which didnt taste like chinese food at all, more like a meal prep of chicken and veggies. Fried dumplings were great though…albeit they look more like potstickers to me

I stayed in Big Sky for 3 days and came to eat here twice. The small space gives the cafe a homey feel. I really liked the lemon chicken and fried rice.

It really is just a takeout place with a few tables you can eat at if you want to. The food was great though! Only 4 starts because of the limited hours they have even in peak season.
