Topsail Steamer makes seafood steam pots for you to take home steam & eat. We prepare our Bay Buckets in a single use pot and provide easy to follow instructions. Our ingredients include fresh North Carolina shrimp, local little neck clams & oysters, snow crab, local sea scallops, andouille sausage, kielbasa, sweet corn, red bliss potatoes and your choice of 4 homemade seasonings. Just add some water (or beer) and cook directly on your stovetop for 45 minutes.

This place is phenomenal!! For decades I made my own steam pots for guests but now I just use them and it is easier, cheaper and yes better than my own!!! It is so easy, jut tell them how many people. They give you everything, simple instructions, even a paper to cover you table. At the end you wrap everything up in the paper, shove it in the steam pot and throw it out; NO MESS AT ALL! Great for a meal, or just something to pick on with drinks when you get back from the beach. By the way the staff are so friendly that you would go back even if it wasn’t so good!

Overall we love Topsail Steamers and order 1-3 times each summer. Overall it’s a reasonable value for money compared to the restaurants and service is typically really good but you are obviously making your own food although it’s relatively easy. Food quality is good. My only pet peeve is I do find them to nickle and dime a little. For example if you order too much food they charge you for an extra pot (why not throw in at that point?)

Great takeout dinner experience when you don’t like going out! Seafood was fresh and flavorful and super easy to cook and follow their instructions. One pot cooking so not a lot of clean-up which is great. Some other feedback: The clams were super sandy, they don’t seem like they were cleaned at all. All of the clams were at the bottom so all of the seasoning settled in the clam shells at the bottom. We tried both Topsail Steamer and Outer Banks Boil this summer and while both were great and we enjoyed them very much, Outer Banks Boil gets my #1 vote.

The seafood has always been fresh and ready on time for pickup. Its so easy to do and everyone is now obsessed. Jimmy’s way is the best option for seasoning. I’ve ordered pots from Topsail Steamer many times and was more than satisfied on every occasion. At first I was a little confused on the process but the kind and helpful staff explained the process as well as guided me on what to order. Each time the cooking process went flawless and went exactly as it was explained on the instruction card. The corn, potatoes and seafood were very fresh and went well with the classic seasoning. Not only was the food delicious, the experience is always one to remember. No matter if you have a large party or just a few people, I 100% recommend Topsail Steamer for a dinner soon.

Top Sail is definitely the place to order from for a great backyard experience. The staff was so helpful, describing in detail how to work the party pot. We had a houseful and cooking a party pot was a huge hit for everyone. not only is the food amazing, but the experience, of dumping your seafood out and having people use their fingers to pick what they want is so fun. We highly recommend Top Sail for your next get together.

We ordered a Full Steamer bay bucket for 3 people and some jalapeño cornbread and had an incredible seafood feast! Topsail couldn’t make it any easier for you to order and prepare a glorious pot of top quality, perfectly seasoned seafood. Every single thing we ate was absolutely delicious. Oh and save room for a slice of their fabulous key lime pie. What a terrific addition to Ship Bottom! The shop and owners are charming, friendly and super helpful. Highly recommended.

Upon pickup, I was informed that you can’t substitute potatoes. Why include on the website that the pots are customizable if they aren’t? She then charged me for the extra butcher paper I asked for. What they are selling as key lime pie is some sort of whipped condensed milk with cheap lime concentrate. It lost emulsion in under 12 hours in the fridge and turned into a pie pan full of lime slurry and soggy crust .
Something akin to Sysco lemon pies sold to hospitals and schools.
Add in selling less than a third the volume of a 9inch loaf pan for corn bread and the overall impression is I’ll never be back.
So many better options in town.
