Looking at the menu here everything sounded amazing! BUT, what jumped out at me the most, was “The Goliath” sandwich. It was two 1/3 lb beef patties with another 1/4 lb Philly cheese steak with three slices of cheese. Cooked to perfection, and smothered in my favorite toppings, I ate all but the last three bites. It. Was. Amazing!!! The food was out fast! And our server was quick to refill my beverage when it got empty.

Stopped in after a good day of hiking to Rincon Peak Trail. Busy place with good food and service. I had a bowl of chili and my partner had the chicken tenders with fries. We shared a Barrio Rojo pint. Everyone seemed to know each other and there was a steady stream of customers coming and going.

Adorable. Clean, friendly, limited selection bar food, but that wasn’t surprising. They were supposed to have steaks and such but choices were mainly burgers, sandwiches, deep fried appetizers.
We ordered The Goliath sandwich and appetizer sampler. We witnessed a few other plates being delivered and everything looked good. We split the sandwich. It’s definitely big enough to remove the bread and eat above for low carbers. Everything was cooked correctly, fresh. Service was fast. If you want an old west bar atmosphere with some live music, pool table, don’t need fancy, you should enjoy the experience. We did. Yes, prices seemed a tad high, but in this political climate of trying to stay alive, can’t really blame them.

A Hidden Gem!
We stumbled upon Mescal Bar and Grill for brunch and were absolutely blown away! High five to the chef—our food was amazing and full of flavor. My husband ordered the carne asada omelette, and it was packed with juicy, tender meat and perfectly seasoned. I went for the pancakes, and let me tell you—they were massive and tasted just like homemade comfort food.
The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the service was just as warm. We’ll definitely be back and are already recommending this cute little spot to all our friends. Don’t miss out on this place if you’re in the area!
