Coral Springs, FL. Five stars for being a bit more authentic than usual in this neighborhood. Music, decor and menu were in line with what we’ve encountered at good Mexican restaurants in San Diego and Texas. The music was accordion-based while we were there. And it was super clean!
Our host and server were very sweet and prompt.
They have a huge menu and in the middle you will find their great lunch specials. I thought the prices were exceptional for what we got for lunch (the #1Enchilada and Taco Combination Platter for Steve and a huge Rancho Salad with Barbacoa Chicken for me).
Their complimentary chips and salsa were good. The salsa tasted like Goya tomato sauce with salt, pepper, minced white onions and minced green onions. No cilantro or cumin or oregano, and I prefer my salsa without cumin or oregano.
Steve inhaled everything on his plate! So the beans, rice and guacamole garnish were also good. He got a ground beef taco and chicken enchilada. He said he wished he’d gotten a chicken taco, the chicken was better.
My Rancho Salad was amazing! It had great lettuce, tender shredded chicken in a Barbacoa sauce, pico de gallo with cilantro in it, beans and shredded lettuce. I used the complimentary salsa as a dressing.
They had tables outside, too.
A note for Californians: If you’re used to the whole taco being deep fried with all the fillings in it, that was not the case here. The taco shell was crisp. That didn’t make a difference to Steve. It tasted great.

Such fantastic spot with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere! Both drink and food portions are very generous for the price, making it a great value. It’s also perfect for large groups. I’ve been here a couple times and on each occasion, there were big parties enjoying themselves. The drinks are excellent, and the staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. I highly recommend the salsa and chips because they’re constantly replenished, and the chips are uniquely flavorful, far better than your standard ones. Just looking back at this reminds me that I’m long overdue for a stop here.

I have a high bar for Mexican food and this place does not disappoint. The birria tacos were the best I’ve had. Ask for the Mexican Pizza (it is not on the menu but they happily made it). Food was fresh and service was excellent.

Ordered a large lunch for a party of 4 totaling to around $60 (fair price for the amount of food for the price). It was made fresh, hot, and smelled great. All the dishes were average and you get what you pay for! The restaurant was empty during lunchtime yet it took awhile for the staff to take my order. However, in the end there were leftovers!

Our server Dulce is friendly, fast and accurate. The food is simply AMAZING!! If you like Mexican food, every dish I have had, (we do not get dessert) has been truly delicious. I have never sent a dish back in 4 years of going there!
Prices are very reasonable, food is made to order, temperature has bever been an issue. Food has ALWAYS been fresh. Generous portions om every entree.

A really lovely authentic Mexican chain restaurant. This particular location was awesome! We went in for lunch during the week and it wasn’t full at all. Seated right away. Restaurant was a lot bigger than it looked like on the outside. Plenty of seating and the decor fit right in with name. The food was delicious! Well seasoned and piping hot. The salsa was freshly made and came spicy or mild. The usual Mexican beers and drinks were available. The only thing I was a little disappointed with was the rice, it tasted a little like left overs reheated. I would come back again though. I enjoyed my main dish and the service. The price is average.

Marvin was fantastic. Brought a family of nine to the restaurant and we were taken care of in a timely manner and all staff were happy and the food was great. I’m glad we gave this a second shot. They have not raised their prices since my last review so they are on par for the current market review.
Margaritas were $10. Food was average at best. Service was great and thus the two stars. I still can’t get over $20 for one small order of fajitas with 3 small tortillas. My Family and I understand the need for profit. However, this is gouging. Because of what’s listed above we will not be going back. Sad because it’s the closest one to our house.

We enjoyed everything about Casa Tequila. All of the family enjoyed the Mexican food, the adults in the party loved the specialty drinks and the kids favorite was the chips and guacamole. Our service from our waitress was efficient. The place has a lot of business, but there was no wait on a Friday night. For my bargain hunting friends, this establishment, and the sister restaurant in Boca do run coupons often and we used one tonight. We had a great experience and we will come again.
