Minar Restaurant@New Delhi is one of the most popular Indian food restaurant in Connaught Place. Its history is really old as its by the same owners running age old Bhape Da Hotel Dhaba @CP!
The place was on my list since long and finally managed to visit.
We went in a big group and it helped in giving an order covering veg and non veg, soup starters and main course.
We ordered vegetable and non veg mamchow soup and chicken malai tikka, paneer chilly dry and fish tikka for starters. The soup was ok and malai tikka fine but the paneer chilly was good and fish tikka was superb.
The service was prompt and we ordered their popular butter chicken and palak paneer for main course. It had been years since I had good mutton kofta and ordered the same as well.
The dishes were relished with butter nana and lachcha paratha. The meal was finished with jeera rice and chicken biryani.
The Indian maincourse was superb and for me mutton Kofta stood out!
A really yummy heartful Delhi style dinner with friends!!

I heard it’s an age old restaurant that’s been serving mughlai dishes for several years now. Which is true… The place does speak of heritage and a purani Dilli wale clientele. But when it comes to the taste of the dishes being served, I was kinda disappointed. I have definitely had much better tasting mughlai food at other places. Which is why I am giving them 2 out of five. Except for the missing taste rest everything was on point.

Yesterday, I ordered kadhai Paneer and naan from this restaurant. I noticed that the quantity of kadhai paneer was less, and there were too many onions in it, which made it less enjoyable to eat.

Minar Restaurant and Bar offers a run-of-the-mill dining experience that doesn’t live up to the expectations set by its prime Connaught Place location. While the food is satisfactory in taste and portion size, it’s overpriced, and the lack of ambiance, peculiar seating, and average service make it forgettable. Unless you’re already in the area and looking for a quick bite, there’s no compelling reason to choose Minar over other nearby restaurants. For a more memorable dining experience, you might want to explore other options in CP that offer better value, ambiance, or culinary flair.

Visited this place few days back for the first time. It has the elegant ambience with the touch of ancient look. Yes they serve both veg and non veg. Being vegetarian i tried their veg items for the dinner. First we ordered veg seekh kebab and dahi kebab for the starters and for the main course we ordered, veg korma and malai kofta with khasta roti. And everything was so good and tasty. Yes they’ve two separate sittings, one on the ground floor and a small sitting above that. Overall it was a good experience. Yes you can come here to have a wonderful time with your friends and family.

If you have hard earned money, I would suggest not to visit this Resto-Bar. Except the spicy onion and water each and every food was garbage. Yes, I am not saying bad, It was garbage. And I did hate the service they gave.

Mutton seekh kabab was very well balanced and succulent, it’s a must try however a bit overpriced. Also i am not sure about their butter chicken, chicken was cooked but the gravy lacked spices, maybe it wasn’t made for Indian pallet, I think they should recommend this butter chicken to foreigners only, As it was too bland for us.

We were looking to have lunch in Delhi as it was a short stop, and thought of visiting this restaurant to try out their food.
We ordered veg and non-veg both. However, as a vegetarian, I am writing about my part of the order. The paneer makhani was a rich orange gravy tempered with traditional butter. The paneer cubes were big, juicy, and soft and had nicely soaked up the gravy flavor. The restaurant also ensured not to add any capsicum and garlic, which was great as it was according to the special instruction I had put in.
The masala papad was delicious. The papad was thin and crispy, with a generous garnishing of chopped tomatoes and onions topped off with some red chili powder. A perfect complement to the sabzi. Lastly, the butter naan. Soft and delectable. As its name suggests, it had a delicious stream of melted butter running across both pieces of the naan.
Coming to non-veg food, those who ate it too were quite satisfied with the taste and quantity. The restaurant in itself gives a rustic feeling, yet the ambiance is excellent. All in all, the food was delicious, and the quantity was worth the money. I would definitely recommend trying out the food here.

Yesterday I with my family went for Dinner at 8.PM and ordered soup Fish tikka Tandoori Chicken nd butter chicken only chicken soup was Good ,Rest food Butter chicken Tandoori Chicken nd fish Tikka was stale, tasteless. We requested for replacement. The replacement of butter chicken was even worst. We ended up paying 4k for the food bill which was below standard, hopeless . Worst was that the waiters are so greedy that they upfront asked for tip Never visit again.

Food taste is average, you can get the same food on a very simple dhaba. Chicken curry was tasty, other than this there is no taste in any item. Service is very pathetic.
