My husband and I are completely obsessed with their dinner Pad Thai and Spicy June Noodle entrées — so much so that we order them probably four times a week. If we could eat it every day, we honestly would. The flavors are always spot-on, the portions are generous, and everything tastes fresh and perfectly seasoned every single time.
We’ve loved it so much that we’ve officially gotten the rest of our family hooked too. It’s one of those places you crave once you try it, and it never disappoints. If you’re in Wentzville and haven’t tried Thai Kitchen yet, you’re seriously missing out. We’ll be loyal customers for life!
Tonight my family went out to dinner at Thai Kitchen in Wentzville. We do eat out more than we probably should, and we always tip well—my husband worked in the service industry, so we’re very mindful of that.
We’re a family of five (two are small kids). Food was fine. But, automatic gratuity is added for parties of six or more and is clearly communicated. In this case, nothing was mentioned. We were handed the bill on a tablet, and when my husband picked it up, we noticed a 20% auto-gratuity added at the bottom.
Before we could even ask about it, a staff member took his card from his hand, tapped it on the machine, and walked away. Then the screen popped up asking if we wanted to add a tip, with the usual 18%, 20%, and 25% options—calculated on the total including the automatic gratuity.
Had we not noticed the small line showing the auto-gratuity, it would have been very easy to tip twice. That part really rubbed us the wrong way. We’re happy to tip appropriately, but transparency matters, and this felt misleading.
Just sharing so others are aware!!!
If you take food to go while dining in, your only option is Styrofoam.
