This is a popular place, and now I know why!! There were long lines, but the crew was extremely efficient, friendly, and FAST. They quickly cranked through the lines, took our order within a few short minutes, and we had our hot-off-the-grill food and frosty mug root beer a few minutes after that. They quickly bussed empty mugs and wrappers from tables and tops of trash cans within seconds of customers leaving. The management and crew were excellent!! If we are ever driving through this town again, we will definitely stop. Nice job, A&W (Phillips, WI)!!

Fun small location! Feels like I’m going back in time every time I go here! Root beer is a highlight, otherwise good American food, nothing to call home about. Friendly staff and quick service. Decent prices. A great place to stop!

This location of the A&W chain is great, it is located pretty centrally in Philips. The workers were very friendly and the food came out quickly. The food tasted as good as any other A&W restaurant. It was clean and tidy inside, it felt welcoming. I do have to take a star off for the price. They increased from past times I have been here. Overall a great experience, will most likely return.

Our family has loved everything we’ve tried. My favorite is the shrimp dinner when it’s lent. We have never been disappointed with what we order. Our order is correct every time. The food is always hot and put together nicely. The employees are super friendly. The inside of the restaurant is clean and welcoming. We love that there is now a drive thru.

Very good service, the lady who waited on us was very nice, she was talking to my daughter and she shared stories of her pets who were like her kids. She was very nice and joked around with us till our food came out. We definitely rang the bell when we left.

First of all I’m just travelling through town so I can only review based on today’s experience, but food was good, typical quality you’d expect from an A&W. Isnt the cleanest restaurant I’ve seen but definitely not bad enough to be a deal breaker either. Lobby is themed nicely. Ample Parking. Decent enough restroom.

Place is hit or miss. When good staff is working, food and experience is good. When the lazy townies are working, everything is sloppy (sticky cups, ice cream all over dishes, burgers falling apart), and you can hear them talking about their drama.
