I thought this place was great! Rachel was very friendly and informative about the establishment, the history of the town, and its surroundings. I ordered the Monkey Sundae, which included vanilla ice cream with freshly chopped bananas, drizzled with hot fudge, whipped cream and if you desire, a cherry on top! I was in heaven! Thank you

My family and I absolutely love your ice cream shop. We come almost every Sunday. The lady who serves and makes the ice cream is outstanding, she’s so nice and always goes out of her way for you. Soooo sweet!!! Thank you for great treats and service!! . The Carey Family

Was at Route 66 Creamery today and Cindy was absolutely amazing. Her fast friendly customer service is a breath of fresh air. Her fun and peppy personality will keep me coming back! I was upset to see the man in front of me reach into the window and rip his money out of her hands because he didn’t want to pay tax. She was nothing but nice and explained to him that the price doesn’t include tax. He was very rude. Cindy kept her professionalism and greeted me without skipping a beat.

Came just before it started raining. We’ve been to the ice cream place down on main street(not good at all). This place have good shakes and Sundays for a decent price. What’s even better as it started down pouring and our ice cream was ready the attendant asked us if we wanted a garbage bag so we wouldn’t get wet. I would recommend!!!

Terrible experience and mediocre icecream. The women working the counter was rude/hateful to every customer. She was throwing icecream cups and icecream on the floor. After witnessing last night’s tantrum wont be back or recommend. She was the only one working so she either needed more help or anger management.

We just moved to town & luckily get to live right by the creamery! Walked here with my family and we all loved it! My cookie dough blizzard was filled with ginormous chunks of yummy cookie dough! My husband, daughter, & son also enjoyed what they got. I love how they have the picnic tables set up to sit & hangout at. It’s crazy how people in the reviews complain of the prices …everything is up in this economy! Support your small town family owned business people!!! It’s absolutely worth the stop for a sweet tooth fixin!

I was so excited to have a place to frequent in the summer. A local establishment to give my business. It’s a nice place if you like soft serve ice cream. With Dairy Queen already as an option it would have been nicer to have custer or old fashioned hard ice cream. I do realize it’s creeper to make soft serve.
As far as my experience, both times I ordered root beer float and My root beer float was flat. My husband explained that it was flat because The root beer they poured in was from an open bottle in the refrigerator. Another disappointment, and I realize the place is new but they still don’t have shakes and malts available.
Not a great first impression for our family but maybe your family will have a better experience. I would check them out.
(Sorry no pictures, it was a very buggy night )

I have fond family memories of the Creamery at Wilmington. Today, I was enjoyed a Giant sized cherry slush..which I believe amounts to 32oz. It was delicious..and the service fast and friendly. It still looks to be a great stopping point for a refreshing treat. Cya next time ladies !

No at all impressed. I understand this place is new and they are trying to get into the groove of things but what we experienced here we will never come back. When we pulled in the parking lot was in total chaos, 3 children ran right out in front of our car. The original establishment the customers would enter the building place their order and move along still inside the building then pay then wait outside in a safe area until the order was ready. This place is not set up that way. The customers gang up in the driveway and place orders at a window. There is zero organization, we also blame this chaos on the parents that have zero control of their children.
When using a historical name in your name at least offer something different. After traveling the USA for 6 years when we see creamery the establishment offered homemade ice-cream, custard or yogurt.
So for us, if we want basic soft served ice-cream without all the chaos in the parking lot there is always Dairy Queen.
Our order. 2 banana splits. In the middle of making this simple order, our splits were set on the side to melt while they corrected the order before us. So yes, we were served half melted soft serve ice-cream.
So with all the disorganized chaos in the parking lot now you have customers tailgating in a parking that is already to small for this establishment.
Yes, there is no outside seating.
This was a one time stop for us and definitely will not be back. If you decide to try this place good luck. Unfortunately things might change after their insurance has to pay out a claim for a child getting hit in their parking lot.
Good luck to the new owners.
