We were extremely pleased with our experience there. The food is to absolutely delicious. Some of the best pizza we’ve ever had. The staff was extremely accommodating and super friendly. Even the owner comes by to check on you and your experience. Can’t say enough good things about this place!!! THE GLUTEN FREE PIZZA WAS ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL!!!!!! Definitely a must try restaurant!!!

Jersey Boys Pizza is located on Avenel Street near the train station in Avenel, New Jersey. The exterior belies the interior, as this is a significantly renovated old-school working class bar, which now features pizza along with a new marble-topped bar. I must say the pizza quality was less than expected. Some good reviews have been posted here, and by a nationally known pizza rater, but I will disagree. I found the sauce slightly bitter, the crust too chewy and far too salty. Plenty of cheese, but somewhat bland. The bar had 3 flat-screens with sports, but the lights were so bright that, with proper tools and requisite skills, I could have performed microsurgey on a willing and fellow patron. On the positive side, the service was prompt and friendly from all 3 ladies working up front. As a pizza place though, I was underwhelmed, yet enjoyed a comfortable atmosphere for my stay.

Thank goodness I found this place!!! After moving from Brooklyn 15 years ago, I have been searching long and hard for a good pizza; even a decent one. Well, I have found it! This crust is it!!! Delightfully crispy and with the perfect chew. Always cooked to perfection and never overdone. Generous with the toppings and priced right. Just so good that I find myself here 3-4 times a month bringing pies home to the family for dinner. I’ve never had a sit-down meal here, either at the old location or the new one, which is 10x the size, but I’ll tell you, this place is always packed. Service has always been quick and friendly. My only wish: more available parking, but you can’t have everything. Thank you Jersey Pizza Boys! We LOVE you!!!

First time ordering from Jersey Pizza Boys and overall it was a decent experience. I got the margherita pizza, but it was a little too dry for my taste. However, the big champ pizza and wings were great & solid options, definitely worth ordering again . I left specific instructions for the order to be left at the front door (no contact delivery), but the delivery guy called to say my doorbell was “apparently” broken and no one was home. He claimed the store didn’t tell him about the delivery instructions, even though they were clearly printed on the receipt. Aside from that weird phone call, it’s a good local spot for a lazy night. Would order again! I want to try their Detroit style pizza next time.

I’ve been a customer for a few years and have loved everything, but their Detroit-style pizza is absolute perfection. Their regular pizza is just as good, with the perfect balance of cheese and sauce, and the sauce always tastes incredibly fresh. I also highly recommend the grilled chicken, fresh mozzarella, and roasted peppers sub.
Dining in is always a great experience; everyone is so welcoming and warm. I also love the new location, which opened in February 2026.

I have had nothing but great experiences eating at and ordering out at Jersey Boys Pizza. The staff is very nice and always makes sure their customers are satisfied and enjoying the atmosphere and food. We ate at the new location for my dad’s birthday and the staff is friendly and did a great job throughout the evening with everything. The food is always delicious!

This was our first time eating here and it was AMAZING! The staff was so friendly and made you feel like they’ve known you forever as soon as you walk in the door. The food was absolutely to die for and very obviously very fresh. The crust was the best in the area – very light and didn’t feel heavy at all. Will definitely be coming back here regularly.
