If only Mama and Papa knew how in tune with flowing ebb of the universe they were when they named their establishment “The Golden China” As if Father Time him self plucked Judy (the owner and daughter to the original owners of the Golden China in Canton) out of an era bygone and planted her feet firmly ahold and in tune with what we need and what we want in a modern Chinese food and sports bar establishment, like great food, music, and events dotting “The Chinas” schedule like the universes’ glowing stars in the night sky giving it’s patrons the perfect balance of a Golden Era” long past and the modern sports bar we all love! Who Knows if you found yourself in the The Golden China chatting it up and hanging out with your favorite crew in The Greater Boston area in the early 2000’s you may yes you might just find yourself toasting some of those same faces at THE CHINA!!!!

Very unhappy with the level of service and the application of a 20% automatically for a guest of 2………… Horrible experience. An experience at Green Tea beats the subpar experience here anytime. And the owner was not well versed in excellent customer service…..

I love going to the china. Atmosphere always nice. But I gotta say every time I get delivery it’s ice cold. Kinda sucks. Also what’s up with the beef teriyaki sticks. The amount of meat on them is smaller than a lollipop. Talk about cutting corners.

What an absolutely amazing experience my wife and I had. The service is top notch Ms Judy is the best.
The food was to die for and the atmosphere was great. Can’t wait to go back.

In my opinion, it seems to have a dramatic change since I’ve been there last. Quality has gone down. Is More like “frozen food” store bought and reheated. It’s definitely Not your Kowloon type…but it’s cool to go watch a game on the many many TVs, get a drink and watch comedy once a week!

Extremely disappointing pork fried rice. It was just very brown rice, a few bits of egg, a few pieces of pork, nothing else in it. Bland taste. Do not recommend this dish.

Walked into this place not knowing what to expect, and was pleasantly surprised. Went here on a dinner date spur of the moment on the weekend.
The atmosphere is a cool mix of Chinese and old school dive bar. it was quiet when were were there but the nice/large bar makes me think it might get exciting on the evening weekends.
The staff were super friendly and attentive.
We splurged and got fun bar drinks, the Head hunter, which came in a large fake coconut and the Lucky kitty that came in a big ceramic looking cat. I preferred the Lucky Kitty.
The food was overall really good. They had the best crab Rangoon’s I’ve had in the area and it came in a large portion. The shrimp dumplings were very good as well. The beef fried rice was really good and came in a big portion. The sweet and sour pork was my least favorite thing we got (it was the bready kind and cut in long strips), and the sauce was too sour for me. It wasn’t bad, I just would not order it again.

Would for sure come here again and try more things!

Didn’t think I would be ordering pizza from a Chinese restaurant, but I was intrigued by the options. The Boneless Spare Rib Pizza ($15) was surprisingly tasty, but very sweet. I would have rated five stars if the sauce were more balanced. The dough was also reminiscent of fried dough rather than traditional pizza.

The food looks good but it’s not so great. The rice tasted so bland, I honestly never in my life had bad chicken fried rice, so I was very surprised to know you mess up chicken fried rice. We also ordered The Pu Pu Platter, which was ok. The egg rolls weren’t good. Everything else was ok. As for drinks, they are definitely heavy on the alcohol. I would come back because they have lots of TVs to watch the games, I would only order the chicken wings with duck sauce or the chicken teriyaki.

Typical American Chinese food with a bar. I use to come here for dimsum but Quincy is saturated with delicious dimsum in every corner so I haven’t gone here for dimsum anymore. I’ve seen them host karaoke nights so it seems lit but definitely more catered to the chicken wings and crab Rangoon only folks compared to dimsum folks.
