The rustic industrial look is unique and the food tasted great but our order was meant to come on a brioche bun and we were given two croissants. They were out of jalapeños which is a part of a main breakfast sandwich they were serving (it was Sunday morning) and they lacked clear communication amongst one another. Things kept getting messed up and misconstrued. It is also extremely pricey for what youre getting.

Morning Day Glory Muffin was really tasty and with the perfect amount of sweetness not too over the top and well baked. but I decided to take it out and ate it at my car as I couldn’t stand the face of distaste from the employee attending the register. I was feeling judged and held unaccountable as I interpreted the employee must have been in a bad mood taking in consideration the way she treated me. Disappointed. Montclair is amazing for their coffee shops and pastries and was expecting to invest further but seems it’s a big miss.

Very frustrating experience! I love sourdough and I thought “why not try a new place” but it was not good! Two young men working like they don’t care. I asked if they could sliced the bread and that’s how I got my sourdough back! The place it self was very unorganized and not clean. First and last time in this place.

Get there early before the line builds up! There is indoor and outdoor seating. I picked up some sourdough donuts, brioche doughnuts and a few loaves of sourdough bread. There were several people behind the counter to make sure everyone was helped quickly.

Usually I’m skeptical of foods that claim to be “award-winning”, but here the tres leches absolutely lives up to the hype of winning a Food network competition. Definitely one of the best donuts I’ve ever tried

Strap in for this one. It starts with a lost IPhone and ends with a kind staff that brightened my day with delicious doughnuts (maple bourbon/fruity pebbles) on the house. Recommend both, but the sourdough one gives you an amazing kick at the end.
As for the lost phone the staff went out of their way to look and unfortunately, I now unwillingly own a new Iphone 16.
Thank you again to the staff
Pro-tip eat outside, they have a beautiful seating space

I hate leaving negative reviews, but this is a pretty serious matter so I felt it was necessary for others with dietary restrictions to proceed with caution. I asked the employee working if there were any gluten free options. I have a pretty serious allergy and also really understand that sometimes the answer to that is just ‘sorry, no we do not’. The guy working behind the counter told me they had 1 left and got it for me. When you’re forced to be gf, there tends to be a certain “look” to gf baked foods, which this didn’t have. I triple checked with the employee that this was gf and he assured me each time it was. I’ve been pleasantly surprised in the past with some alternatives so hoped that was the case here and kept it moving. I took one bite and was even more skeptical and decided to just give it to my husband instead. Unfortunately I was glutened and had a reaction not too long after. I looked on the company’s website and realized the option the employee gave to me was listed as VEGAN, not gf. Just a reminder these are not one in the same. Please please be careful.

Not worth the trip .
Baguette was hard and felt old.
croissant was flavorless
Donut looked like they were sitting out for hours .
And the girl behind the register was so emotionless and clearly didnt want to be there answering questions or helping anyone. Couldn’t even bother to give a “have a nice day” ….
Its a shame this place looks so cool I wanted to spend all my money here

Overrated.
The Egg and cheese over brioche bun is Terrible. Like, if you told me they took it from the frozen aisle of ShopRite and reheated it in a microwave I’d believe so. Dry and stale and flavorless but comes with a price tag of $10.
The donuts and croissant are okay ish. Wished their buttery notes were stronger. Not sure if I would choose the donuts over Krispy Kreme, again for the price per quality point. The Croissant from their partner down the street is more pliable than flakey and rather small.
Sourdough loaf is actually better than the rest. Staunched with spiral crumbs, it has some tang to the taste.
Coffee service is super slow. You should be ready by open time. And the store’s cleanliness can be worked on.

Came with my boyfriend for some Sunday treats! And I love this place. Cute outdoor seating. Vast selections for pastries and beverage.
