Greetings at the door along with great service on a packed out Sunday and on a random Thursday. We still received great service along with the same delicious tasting food. I enjoyed the music, atmosphere, and happy sounds from the kitchen. The food came pretty quick for soul food and the names of the entrees you’ll enjoy. I recommend this place for anybody trust me you’ll enjoy it and you will not be disappointed. Don’t belive me I dare you to try it out.

100% *The Best* fried chicken I’ve ever had in my life. Best cornbread I’ve ever had, hands down. Owner and the staff were so sweet, so welcoming. Loved the gospel music. My one regret is how little we’re down this way, but believe me, if I’m ever within 100 miles of this place, we’ll go here again.

The service by Samyra was great !! The atmosphere was very warm and welcoming! We were greeted with smiles and pleasantries. My family loved the complimentary cornbread and the chicken waffles/pancakes. The chicken might’ve had a little too much pepper but nonetheless it was good.

This was the best chicken I have had in my life, and I have had a lot of great chicken. Spicy but not overpowering, juicy, and perfect. My husband and I also loved the corn bread. I wish this restaurant could teleport to upstate New York so I could eat here regularly. A great choice for travelers going to and from Congaree National Park.

Absolutely delicious! I stopped by Jeffrey Lampkin’s Country Boy Kitchen and ordered the fried fish with macaroni and cheese and potato salad…..everything was seasoned to perfection! The fish was golden and crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and the sides tasted like true Southern comfort food. The mac and cheese was creamy and rich, and the potato salad had that perfect homemade touch.
The staff was friendly, the atmosphere felt like home, and you can tell every dish is made with love. If you’re looking for authentic Southern cooking done right, this is the place to go. I’ll definitely be back!

Let me start with, the food was very good! Crust on fried chicken and pork chops was heavenly, the green beans and corn bursting with flavor and the shrimp and grits are drool worthy. If your heading through Sumter and looking for a delicious off the beaten track meal this location is it. It is attached to the gas station and the place is dated, but the staff was super friendly and brought out piping hot food. We had a show of gospel music to finish off lunch. It is not your typical restaurant, more like one of those hidden eclectic places that you stumble upon.
My dad and I shared everything so we could have a taste of it all. It’s not fancy, it’s a bit worn, but the food is great.
