Went with friends for lunch – delicious food, and wonderful, friendly service from the owners! Tried a Saturday special called ‘Juanita’ – three crunchy chicken tacos with a bowl of tomato noodle soup. Quesadilla was packed with chicken and cheese (and huge). Kids nachos were loaded with steak and cheese. Traditional tacos delicious. So much food we shared family style and enjoyed sampling the delicious food. Okay, for me, highlight was dessert! Two of us wanted to try the home made strawberry flan. One piece was so big, the owner split it in two for us and we got a side of vanilla ice cream. So good! Great way to end a delicious meal.

DO NOT PASS THIS PLACE UP! Absolutely delicious food, drinks, desserts, etc. The owners are such genuine and kind people. This will definitely become a regular spot for me and my boyfriend. Everything is spectacular from food to service. We really enjoyed our visit. Sorry for the half eaten photos.

Came in yesterday and had the Queso Birras. It was AMAZING! A couple of the guys I work with had recommended this place. I was finally able to go. Well worth the drive. Food was very very flavorful. I will definitely be back. Also the Horchata was the best I have ever had.

The Real Deal !!!
The owners are transplants from San Diego and I am from LA through Southern Maryland. They know how to cook up a plate of food just like out west. I have gone to many of these so called “authentic Mexican restaurants” here in North Carolina. Very disappointing results. Some are OK but far from what I would call authentic.
Up side – the food here is high level food truck cuisine. The people that work here are very friendly. Food is cooked in the open so you can see and smell the freshness. They will make any adjustments you wish. (just ask) My first time here they asked, mild or spicy. Being from the southwest I requested spicy. After finishing my burrito I went to the counter and told the cook we need to talk about his idea of spicy. It was good but not hot enough for me. His response was “Oh I forgot you were from LA” I can fix that. Reaching into the cooler he pulled out the real home-made hot sauce. Gave me three of them free of charge to take home. That stuff hit the mark dead on. They make it up fresh on Saturday each weekend. They also do a shredded beef taco on Saturday, and I highly recommend that one!
Down side – if you want to call it that. I love a good margarita with my Mexican food. They don’t have a liquor license at this place. So no margarita for me, small price to pay for food that is sooooo good.
The dining area is small, three tables that seat four each. If I wish to eat in and they are full I have NO problem waiting for someone else to move along. The food is simply worth the wait!!! Their is always the option to get carry out, but I enjoy talking with the people that cook/serve you.
I can’t say enough good things about this place. Best advice I can give is go by and make your own opinion. You will not be disappointed.

Last night I drove 25-27 mins to the best gem of a restaurant, wwwwwwaayyyy out in the country setting… The BEST TACO i EVER tasted. Simple and fresh, the shredded beef will have you licking your fingers. The meat was so flavorful. I also got a steak burrito and with everything…supreme…it was huge…steak glaaalore…it was so delicious it took two settings to eat. Two servings…i was so good.. you definitely have to go by …im definitely going back …i want 2 now try everything on menu…its my day off place 2 go now..the owners were great friendly, and you can tell they enjoy what they do..putting smiles on people face n yummy in the tummy…i enjoyed myself and will b back…she made me a mixed fruit drink … you have to try also..

Listen… this is a gem of a place in Oxford, that sits in a place you probably haven’t been… but baby follow the map for some of the best authentic food ever. During this last visit, I learned the owners cook everything from scratch. The salsa, chips, rice, beans, were soooooo good! I forgot to take a new pic of what I had, so I don’t want to mislabeled. However, if you are or far… just go if you want some of the best authentic and best customer service. And if your car needs services, they have a shop next door too!

Agua fresca was amazing. Tacos were great and large portions! The mulita literally melts in your mouth! Staff was super friendly and helpful! Can’t wait to be back for more !
