Recently visited Virtue + Vice for the first time and came home impressed. Known for their cocktail program, we can attest to their signature Espresso Martini and Lemon Drops being most excellent! We had lamb sliders that were mighty tasty as well as a tender, moist pork chop and some of the best Vodka Sauce Pasta (another signature) we’ve had. Better than we make at home lol. Local family owned and managed, the ownership and staff are friendly and attentive. Be sure to include them on your dining rotation!

The only 2 pictures missing are of 2 kids meals: an “Alfredo” and a red sauce pasta. These two items, along with everything pictured- and NO alcoholic drinks- was an $80 ticket, and what we thought were dinner entrees (the lamb and the chaat) were starters/ appetizers…. The bread pictured was $12, the Chaat was around $15 if I’m not mistaken and the lamb sliders were about the same. The two pastas ran up the rest of the bill. Really not impressed with the quality. The white sauce pasta was really garlicy, the red sauce pasta was quite acidic in flavor, the lamb sliders had a mint yogurt on them but whatever the aioli was trying to be it had a horseradish-esk nature to it and came with quite a bit of bite; the other thing about them that caught us off guard was how they were slabs of ground lamb… the bread wasn’t anything special and I was a bit shocked for what we got that was above $10 and perhaps this is my mistake, but I anticipated the Puchka Chaat to be similar to a samosa chaat in that it’d be warm, but it was cold. The flavor combos were strong but battled with one another and I was not a fan. I hate to say it, but I feel like virtue and vice was an incredible opportunity for cocktails and libations that had food as an afterthought once the space was acquired. I think the menu needs a re-look and the bar expanded. If this is a “new kid on the block” of old restaurants it’s not long to last. Or people with poor taste are inflating the reviews. This is also the second time I’ve been here. Last time was a year ago.

We got tomato cream soup, asparagus salad, vodka pasta with chicken, Mac-n-cheese trio, and cream brûlée. Everything tasted perfectly. The great food, amazing cocktails, outstanding service. Our date night was brilliant. Very quiet place with romantic vibe and ambience.

Really nice place and great vibes. Staff was really friendly and owner personally came to talk to us and was very kind. The food was good… but for the amount of money it cost it was just alright. There were many interesting dishes which aimed at doing some kind of fusion but honestly would have been better as one cuisine. I would say the quesadilla and empanadas were 10/10 however. The drinks were meh and desert was nothing out of the ordinary. If it were a cheaper menu , I would give it 5 stars.

Criminally underrated. Definitely deserves FAR more praise and attention than it’s gotten so far. Great food, great wine selection, wonderful service.

Our favorite dishes were the focaccia bread, persimmon salad, lamb sliders, and the espresso creme brûlée. We were also excited to hear the menu changes every season – looking forward to our next visit.

10/10 would recommend

V&V is a new “kid” amongst all the established restaurants in Danville downtown. They offer a breath of fresh air when it comes to the menu – a mixed of fusion dishes coupled with some traditional shareables not to be missed. Their cocktail selection is interesting. I would recommend seating in the patio, it’s lovely, quiet and cozy. The service is good, the food is awesome. We had the signature fries, the summer salad and summer pasta and lamb sliders and they are all delicious!

If you are looking for a beautiful and upscale restaurant to host your event or group take this as your sign to do so. Nitin and Sarab were so accommodating and a pleasure to work with. They design your menu to what you’re looking for and the wine/drinks selection is fantastic. The staff even helped us set up our decor and our guests still talk about how good the food was. Thank you guys and will always recommend 🙂
