The country steak & eggs was incredibly delicious. Consisted of a fried beef & sausage patty (made from scratch) with sausage gravy over it and home fries (can add onions or peppers on em). Everything’s made from scratch here and tastes like genuine diner food. The staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was casual and bustling for Valentine’s Day.

I ordered an Irish omelet but received a veggie omelet. My toast was cold enough when they butter it that the butter didn’t melt. Hubby had a mushroom and Swiss burger which he said was very juicy but his fries where very dry even with gravy on them. He ordered the cod sandwich but they come back and told him they only had perch, which was fine. Then they came back and they were out of perch so he opted for a burger.

This place is as it says: a village style, mom & pop diner. Old style, breakfast/early lunch hours, and reasonable prices. Nothing is fancy or “decorated” on the plate to make it look better than it is. You get it as it’s stated on the menu. Clean and simple but a nice serving size so you don’t feel cheated. I ordered a short stack of pancakes. There was nothing short about it. It was a very large portion and tasted good as well.

Everyone cleaned their plates. We got there in good timing because around 10am it started filling up. We definitely beat the rush.

Service got fewer stars because our waitress seemed overwhelmed. She was an older lady. We received everything we asked for she just was kind of short and snappy with us at times.

Sometimes I look at reviews and I wonder what were these people thinking. Maybe they caught them on a bad day. I have no idea but I know one thing. This is now my number one go to breakfast place in Northeast Ohio. I used to have one or two of them, but they always disappointed me. Not so here. Homemade corn beef hash who does that. Everything came out timely. Perfect with a smile and a song in their heart. I was apprehensive upon arriving. I was ecstatic upon leaving. They met every expectation, exponentially. If you don’t have a go to place for breakfast, make this yours.

Wow what an awesome diner!! Can’t hype this place up enough! Food was so delicious and the staff made us feel like we’ve been coming there for years. The burger was juicy and one of the best I’ve had in a while. The breakfast burrito and eggs Benedict were also great! The owner was so sweet and made us feel like old friends immediately. Love the village diner will definitely be coming back!

Absolutely the best diner around. Homemade soups that change weekly that are heavenly. Old school music and 50s decor and vibe. And everyone is so friendly and fun. Absolutely best place for a different experience from corporate diners. And the prices man they are so inexpensive in comparison to other places. And the pancakes holy moly they are massive. Definitely worth it stop in some time.

Very cute retro diner. The staff were very attentive, making sure food came out of the kitchen as ordered. Wish I knew the waitresses name to give kudos, but they both were exceptional. My eggs were perfectly over easy. Loved every part of it. Its been awhile since Ive seen such care. Thank you

50’s kinda diner with extra napkins points and attentive waitress. Had a country omelette and a side of grits. They had gluten free bread, which is another plus for me. Excellent place for breakfast and lunch. 8am to 2pm. I recommend this place across from miles farmers market.

Good cooks and friendly service, very tasty food! The food has improved in the last three weeks. I enjoy the grits and veggie omelette. The atmosphere is nice with a 1950s feel. I like the artwork as well. I highly recommend The Village Diner! My Auntie who is 95 enjoys the French toast and waffles as well as the soup. We always feel welcome! The portions are plenty. Good Times!!!
