I knew that this business changed owner 7-8 years ago but was told that they kept all the staff, including the Thai chefs so I was excited to try the food.

Food was okay, just NOT authentic. They tasted like a mix of localised Chinese food and Thai food but on a salty side. $25 for 3 courses (lunch); the portion was big with plenty of meat.

Tom yum gung chicken – too salty

Pad Thai – still, tasted more like soy sauce than pad Thai sauce. Authentic pad thai does not have green onions

Mango on the moon (coconut milk sticky rice with mango and a scoop of vanilla ice cream) – the rice tasted pretty good! Just that it wasn’t made with glutinous rice but jasmine rice. Therefore, the texture was not as smooth. The mango wasn’t ripe fully so it was a bit sour. Very good texture of the ice cream but the flavour was a bit off so I didn’t finish.

The server is a chef here too and he is friendly.

We visited Bangkok Thai in London, Ontario yesterday with a group of seven, and we were truly blown away. Coming from Toronto – where we’re spoiled with incredible Thai food – we didn’t know what to expect, but this restaurant absolutely exceeded our expectations. The food was authentic, flavourful, and incredibly satisfying from start to finish. This is definitely a place where you should sit down and enjoy the experience, not just do takeout.
Although the owner shared that about 80% of their business is takeout, we highly recommend dining in because of the welcoming feeling. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the service made the meal unforgettable. The owner, Chuck, took the time to chat with us, was amazing with our kids, and made us feel genuinely at home. That kind of hospitality is rare and so appreciated. My sister and brother-in-law absolutely love coming here and speak so highly of the restaurant food quality & service so we were happy to experience it.
To top it all off, Chuck personally walked us out and waited until we were safely in our car because the weather was bad – such a small gesture that spoke volumes. Between the outstanding food and the exceptional, heartfelt service, Bangkok Thai is a true gem in London. We highly recommend it and will absolutely be back!

If you’re going to have an open kitchen, at least keep it a little clean. Ordered the singapore noodles and it was BLAND!! All the meat that comes with it was cold and chewy. the noodles were hot but somehow all clumped together as if they had been sitting there for a while and was microwaved. I asked for it to be extra spicy… it was not. A friend ordered the green curry, which is supposed to be the spiciest… it was not soicy but wierdly sweet. For the price you pay, you’re better off going to Thaifoon. The service was lovely but they seemed to be out of everything i asked for, thai tea… out of stock, pina colada… out of stock. Its a saturday night; the time people are going to be out the most. How are you out of everything? The restaurant has been around for so long and it clearly shows, not in a good way.

“Good food I Ordered Green Curry Thai (veg) and Mango Rice dessert. Food was delicious, cooked perfectly! However, found a few chunks of chicken in the curry . Bit disappointing since I’m veggie. Love the place, but need to be more careful with veg orders .

The food was excellent! We had the Thai sesame beef, red curry, pad Thai, Bangkok shrimp and everything was amazing. The food was hot and came out very quickly. The wait staff and manager were very nice and the whole experience was pleasant. Whenever I’m back in London Im going to make a habit of coming here every time.

I ordered the butterfly shrimp, veggies & almonds that came with jasmine rice and the fresh rolls. The fresh rolls were the best part of this meal and always taste the best. I’ve had the mango salad from here before and it’s amazing!

It’s pretty good, I liked the food a lot! The only thing is I had to add a little more sugar to the Red Curry because it wasn’t as sweet as I was used to. Very generous servings of vegetables and chicken in it though. I would order again…interested in trying their Pad Thai next!

Very disappointing experience. The food is extremely overpriced for the quantity served. Portions were small, and there was hardly any meat included. The taste was poor overall. I ordered Pad Thai, and it tasted like plain noodles mixed with soy sauce — no proper spices, barely any meat, and no vegetables at all. Definitely not worth the money. I would not recommend this place; save your money and eat elsewhere.

Bangkok Pad Thai lies on Richmond St and Piccadilly St downtown. I’ve heard numerous anecdotes from people explaining how good the food is. So tonight, I wanted to find out myself.

Stuffed chicken wings, and grilled eggplant were my starters. Both starters came with their house sweet chili sauce. The wings were boneless and stuffed with seasoning. But the eggplant looked and tasted very much like an omelet. While eating these, I drank a Thai iced tea. This had an exotic, orange colour (because there was star anise and ground tamarind).

The menu describes their Bangkok Pad Thai noodles as their most popular dish, which functioned as my main. It comes to you in a plate with a mound of rice noodles. The mound engulfed carrots, slices of chicken, egg bean sprouts with their homemade sauce. You can add shrimp for $3, mixed vegetables for $2, and cashews for $2. Your plate will also have a wedge of lime and chopped peanuts.

They serve all kinds of alcohol here. Their drink menu has cocktails, martinis, liquor, Scotch, beer, and wine. And the nonalcoholic side features tea, Thai iced tea, smoothies, juice, Shirley Temples, virgin Caesars, soft drinks, and Perrier.

I didn’t have enough room for dessert but almost was tempted by the Bangkok Banana Supreme. The menu states, “sweet plantain wrapped in pastry, deep-fried,” and “topped with coconut cream, chocalate & caramel syrup.”

This was a great opportunity to appreciate Thai cuisine. Bangkok Pad Thai has earned and will keep its legendary status.

Food – 5/5
Service – 5/5
Ambiance – 5/5
Price – Mid Ranged

Ordered Coconut Chicken Curry, Panang Chicken, Rama Chicken, Chicken Pad Thai, Stuffed Chicken wings, Spring Rolls, Cheese Wontons and Mango Sticky Rice. Everything tasted so good, except the Wontons and the wings. Both were super bland and missed flavors. But other than that, all other food items were great. The service was quick too.
Will definitely come again.
