We don’t visit Statesville without stopping at Shiki’s. Prices have gone up a bit — $73 for three plates, an appetizer, and a bottle of sake — but the portions are still huge and meant to be shared. Shrimp and teriyaki chicken were excellent and filling. Quiet, relaxed atmosphere around 1 p.m. Still a great value.

Great Sushi, Big Portions, and Even Bigger Menu!
This sushi spot has been the best find since moving from California! The quality is legit, and for the price, it’s hands-down one of the best deals I’ve come across out here. They have a mix-and-match special that gave me 20% off, which is perfect whether you’re just grabbing a few rolls or going all in.
We ordered:
• Super Dragon Roll
• Awesome Roll
• Tempura Roll
• Spicy Cali Roll
• Crunch Roll
• Spicy Lover Roll
Our order came out on a boat (literally ), which was such a fun surprise. Presentation is a big deal here—even the people next to us had an epic-looking dish. But it’s not just looks—the food actually delivered. The calamari was the best thing I had all night. I’ve never had calamari like that before, and I’m already craving it again.
There was no wait, even on a weekday evening, but it still felt busy in a good way. Lots of to-go orders going out and a steady flow of people dining in.
The place itself is spacious and super clean. The interior designer in me couldn’t help but mentally rearrange things but I really liked the artwork on the walls. They even had Project Runway playing, which I thought was a fun touch.
Now, about the menu… it’s basically a book, plus an extra sheet of specials. It felt like a lot at first, but they don’t just do sushi—they also serve Korean, Vietnamese, and other traditional Asian dishes. It’s a lot to take in, but definitely something for everyone.
One thing to note—beer comes in two different sizes, so make sure you ask when ordering. I got the smaller one by accident and was a little confused at first, but that was on me.
Food came out kind of fast, but everything tasted so good that it really didn’t matter. Our dinner date was under $75, considering everything we order it was a great deal. Our server Erika was super sweet and on top of everything. Shoutout to her for making us feel taken care of. I would recommend someone solely working the front to help support the kitchen and servers. the kitchen staff were doing front desk jobs in bringing order to the front of the house. Never seen that before.
All in all, I’ll definitely be back—maybe for takeout next time!

We had dinner take out last night. While the food was good, the meat was a small amount compared to what were used to. We ordered 7 plates of food. All of them was moatly rice and veggies. Definitely dissapointed

This was a very pleasant surprise! The beef and chicken in both dishes were both seasoned and cooked perfectly. Somebody back in the kitchen has skill and experience. The vegetables were similarly perfectly prepared. There was real attention to detail.
The staff I saw were friendly young people working hard on a Friday night. Our waiter Sam was very helpful.
One thing to improve: the miso soup was mediocre and nearly lukewarm by the time it reached the table.
Sure it’s not the fanciest place, but it was delicious, affordable, and I’ll be back.

In town for a meeting and I was thoroughly impressed by their great food and waitress service. Food came out quickly in large portions and for a good price too. I ordered a sushi roll and a teriyaki steak entree. Wasn’t expecting that big of a sushi roll.

I purchased a to go order for lunch from Shiki’s restaurant in Statesville. The food was so so so delicious. The chef that day did an Awesome job!! The meat was so good and tender and the broccoli was crisp just the way I love it!! It was so good I called the restaurant and bragged on their chef. The food was so plentiful I could have shared with two other people. Overall, the food was cooked too perfection, there was more than enough to go around twice, and the price was very reasonable and unbeatable. PS my stepdad that went in to pay and pick up said the restaurant was very very nice and clean.
