As you step through our doors, vintage details such as the 150 year old clock, the stained glass designs that crown expansive windows, and a tiled floor and tin ceiling transport you back in time. Yet there is an appealing familiarity about this Hoboken steakhouse. Dino & Harry’s is what looks like – and in fact is – the archetypal neighborhood saloon. We just happen to double as a fine dining establishment and what some call the most popular steakhouse in Hoboken. This Hoboken NJ steakhouse embraces its heritage while taking advantage of the historic building in which it operates – A circa late-1800’s edifice. Built as a longshoreman’s saloon, the atmosphere has been preserved retaining most of its original architectural details.
Classic steakhouse housed in a 19th-century saloon with stained glass, a tin ceiling & live music.

We shared the porterhouse for two, and it was absolutely incredible. Perfectly cooked, buttery, and packed with flavor. The portion was generous, and every bite melted in your mouth. All of the sides we ordered were also delicious and came out fresh and hot.
The service was exceptional. Our server was knowledgeable, attentive, and made the whole night feel special. You can tell the staff takes pride in what they do.
Overall, Dino & Harry’s is a must-visit if you’re looking for a memorable steakhouse experience. We’ll definitely be coming back.
However, I was extremely disappointed with our Valentine’s Day experience. It honestly felt more like a money grab than an attempt to create a special, romantic evening. The restaurant packed tables into incredibly tight spaces…..our table was literally touching the couple next to us, and it felt like we were all sharing one big dinner. There was no sense of privacy or intimacy at all.
Each table also had a passive-aggressive note stating that reservations were limited to two hours. I completely understand time limits on a busy holiday, but the wording and presentation felt impersonal and unwelcoming. When you go out for a nice Valentine’s Day dinner and spend $400+ on a meal, you hope the experience will feel thoughtful and special & not rushed and transactional.
I do want to note that our server was clearly overwhelmed by how busy the restaurant was, but still did a wonderful job and remained kind and attentive throughout the night. The staff seemed to be doing their best under very hectic circumstances.
Unfortunately, the whole evening still felt extremely impersonal, like we were just another cog in a wheel being moved through as quickly as possible. I do really like this restaurant and the food is consistently great, but after this experience, I won’t be returning for a special occasion.
For this party: 111 guests with DJ, photobooth outside, live artist inside, piano was tucked away and coat closet for usage with open bar.

Wine list could also be improved, or it would be great if they had a corkage fee so you could bring your own bottle from home.
I would recommend the 24Oz Sirloin (at $68) x 2 vs. the 32 Oz Porterhouse for two (at $118) – better value for money – just ask for it to be cut and served hot.
The Canadian bacon is great too though they serve it with coleslaw on top which makes NO sense.
Not much of a beer selection but they serve it in a chilled glass which works.
The drinks were solid. The wait staff was friendly and the service was quick. Seems to have a lot of regular customers which is always a good sign.
Would go there to celebrate a special occasion.
