I’m a regular customer who frequents this location every few days.
Service is normally ok depending on how busy they are. However today was a different experience.
Walked in and saw only a few tables with people sitting down so I figured it would be a pretty quick in and out.
3-4 people working behind the counter and after waiting at the front for someone to take my order for over 5 minutes without a hello, will be right with you ect, I was disappointed no one acknowledged I was even there. A few times an employee walked right by me without any assistance or speaking to me.
The woman standing in line behind me asked if I had been helped, or for that matter even if I had been acknowledged?
I responded no.
She was as baffled as I and made the decision to leave.
No one said anything. Sorry for the wait ect!
Probably won’t be visiting there again.
Too bad because I was a regular visitor who enjoyed the food.

Subways are great, but the wait time is ridiculous. I arrived first, and it took four people who arrived after me to get my Subways. It’s ridiculous, no matter how good the food is the time you have to wait doesn’t work it.

Picked up an online order for dinner last night around 7 PM. Food was immediately ready, however the sandwiches were honestly awful.

I rarely send back food, especially fast food, because it’s usual subpar tasting to begin with, however these sandwiches needed to be sent back, but I had already driven home before I realized the number of problems.

Spent roughly $30 for two of the new Thanksgiving Turkey specials and added gravy on the side for an extra dollar each. Number one, gravy was completely missing from the order. Fantastic, already off to a bad start.

Both sandwiches were absolutely stone cold. Not cold as in room temperature because they had been sitting out. Cold as in, I just pulled these ingredients out of the refrigerator cold. This is advertised as a hot sandwich on a toasted bun. Neither the bun was toasted, nor the sub was remotely heated or made with heated ingredients.

I was already hungry and at home, so I heated the cold sloppy mess that was supposed to be my “sandwich” and ate it. Nothing to write home about. There was hardly any cranberry sauce on both subs, which was disappointing since that’s the part I was looking forward to most.

I won’t be going back to this location again because the workers there just don’t give a crap about anything. They were already trying to pack their things and clean up when I arrived at 7 PM, well before advertised closing time, so I’m guessing they didn’t bother to make my sandwiches properly. Didn’t help that they all appeared under the influence of something either.

Management needs to keep on eye on this location because this is the 2nd time I’ve had poorly made food from this specific location. Needless to say I won’t be going back here. It’s not a very cheap place to eat to begin with, but in definitely not wasting my money on a sub that can’t even be prepared correctly. The old Elm Grove location was amazing, but they have since closed. Mayfair location seems to be riddled with utter laziness and/or ineptitude. I understand it’s not a high paying job, but would it kill you to do the very simple and basic core tasks of your job?

Incorrect item on catering order. Normally this would not be a big deal, but when I called the restaurant to request the correct item be sent (someone has a dairy allergy), the employee was incredibly disrespectful and unhelpful. She actually yelled. This was a $312 catering order; we included a tip. Our organization has ordered from this restaurant 3-5x in the past few months without incident. There is no reason for this behavior. Regardless if we get a refund we will NEVER order here again. Firehouse subs store #1907 order #VQJ-3FK. The incident occurred 4/9/25 at 1137. Please handle your employees and ask them to treat public with basic respect. I cannot stress enough the level of aggression this women displayed during the 1 minute call. I have attached photos of the “dairy free food.”

Firehouse Subs was a great lunch stop! I ordered a Philly cheesesteak with pepper jack cheese and jalapeños, and it was really good. The flavors were spot on, but the bread at the bottom of the sandwich was a bit soggy.

One of the staff members accidentally forgot my pickle, but she was super nice about it and gave me two to make up for the inconvenience—great customer service! Even though I ordered takeout, I loved being able to take advantage of their hot sauce bar. It’s such a cool touch and lets you customize your meal just the way you like it.

Overall, it was a solid experience, and I’d definitely go back!

Ordered subs an hour before I was going to pick them up. Was unaware that they steam the sandwich. When I got the sandwich home it was like a swamp. Very mushy. I suspect they made the sandwich more than 10 or 15 minutes before I picked them up. Therefore, the steam just soaked into the bun making it mushy. Can’t prove it but it sure seemed that way.

The sandwiches are pretty good here but they didn’t seem to be put together with a lot of care. The staff seemed kind of strange, although they were very helpful and the food did come out pretty quick. That answer the restaurant seems cold and it is kind of loud in there since it’s just all tile and solid walls. I guess. What else can you do with a sandwich shop but it’s just not very cozy.

I have never been to a Firehouse Subs Restaurant before. I went there 2 Days Ago. I was going to go to the location in Waukesha because I did not know that there was a location here. I ended up going to this location instead. I ordered a Firehouse Meatball Sub and a Firehouse Hook & Ladder Sub. They were Good. I also donated some money in The First Responders box. I am a First Responder myself. I am also a retired Lieutenant for Search & Rescue with The United States Government & Military… as well as Accident Scene Management and other organizations. I also made another donation in order to buy one of The Firehouse Pickle Buckets which I strapped to my motorcycle to bring Home. I like the restaurant. I like all the Fire equipment on the walls there. I took some pictures of the equipment on the walls there. The staff was very Friendly there. They made our Subs Good. I recommend Firehouse Subs

This was my first visit. Ordered a Hook and Ladder sub sandwich, it was good. I would rate it comparable to Cousins. Service was slow. The cashier mumbled and was difficult to communicate with. She put my husband’s name down as Jill, not close to what he said his name was.

Normally the subs I have gotten here have been real good but the service not so good. Last time when ordering over the phone your employee was very rude to my wife in taking our order I was going to say something about it when I got there, but it quickly became apparent that those I saw working there didn’t like what they were doing there and wouldn’t give a hoot in what I had to say. Today we bought 3 full length hot steak and cheese subs for the Packer game I arrived about 10 minutes early for the pick up, to my surprise they were done and bagged I only live a few minutes away so there was really no reason for these 3 full subs to all be literally cold and on un toasted rolls while we started cutting them up and heating them up piece by piece in our air fryer I called to let you know how disappointed and embarrassed I was after bragging on how good your subs were to be given cold steak and cheese subs on un toasted rolls straight from the firehouse. The employee / manager on the phone was empathetic and apologetic sounding like she was reading from a prepared general complaint answer sheet stated the General Manager who wouldn’t speak to me personally, offered to remake them if we would bring them all back. I was willing to return the 3 cold un toasted subs when they delivered me the three correctly made subs, but they wouldn’t do that nor compensate me for giving me an order that wasn’t cheep below standard and that should’ve never been sent out as it was in the first place. FYI in all honesty I feel I was more embarrassed and disappointed for the food I received and unknowingly offered up to my friends and family than your group seemed to be for serving up such a poor example of the quality of your product you served me. Your food and service was the running joke for the whole game. Your group at this location should be ashamed for serving up such a sub standard quality product at a premium price and carrying so little to properly correct.
