Based on the reviews we had high expectations from this place. My husband and I eat Indian food in the US and when we travel abroad. Unfortunately, not only were we very disappointed in the food quality, freshness and taste, but it also made both of us very sick at the beginning of our vacation. As of now I am still writing this review sitting on the toilet.
We ordered chicken Biryani, naan and Lamb Tikka. Both of us shared the dishes.
Everything was just unbelievably salty and spicy (even though we asked for level 2 out of 4 spiciness). Even with all this amount of salt the Chicken Biryani had a very unpleasant taste. The naan was dry and thin. But, the worst is food poisoning. Please, if someone else got sick there, post an honest review. I recommend staying away from this place.

one of the best meals i had while in the area for a week!

10/10 highly recommended

we got the mango lassi which was a magical combination of perfectly mango yet sweet and creamy, the chicken tikka masala and veggie samosa, which came with three delicious sauces including a mango one. i’ve never tasted that with indian food and it was SO GOOD.

also, rodrigo was working there and made the experience even better with his friendliness and overall great vibe he brought. we saw him a few other times over the week and always were met with a wave and friendly smily. and we met the cutest cat,

Food was decent but very expensive. The mater paneer was flavorful but not exceptional. The mixed vegetable korma was more tomato base (red) than yogurt (white). The sign out front showed a vegetarian thali (platter of small servings) unfortunately “it’s only on the lunch menu” which we found a bit odd. We were served 3 chutnies with the meal, mango, tamarind, and mint, though we didn’t order anything that would need them (samosa, pakora) the mango was disappointing and the mint has an artificial color and poor flavor. They did provide reusable containers for the leftovers.
We walked 3km to get there, in short it wasn’t with the walk.

the food here is sooo tasty. my friends and I have eaten a lot of good Indian food but we were really impressed with the depth & complexity of flavors. especially the tandoori chicken. And Rodrigo was the best and sweetest waiter!

Wow! Amazing food on the Caribbean coast!
I never imagined I would get such authentic Indian food here. Incredible live music, a live kitchen, and Indian cocktails made the experience even more special.
Excellent service throughout!
Highly recommend: Lamb chops, Chicken Tikka Masala, and Garlic Naan

Honestly this was the best Indian food I’ve had. I got the spicy butter chicken and garlic naan along with the mango lassi. I loved this restaurant.

On most travels we always seek out some Indian food and so we tried Zaika. We were really surprised at how tasty and rich the dishes were. The ingredients used were top notch, particularly noting that the lamb was tasty, lean, and tender. We had paneer masala, chicken malfai, gobi manchurian, and lamb Rogan josh, all of which were excellent. Also, shout out to the guy serving who was polite, friendly, and very attentive, as was one of the other staff who brought the food out. Highly recommend!

Amazing! Some of the best Indian food we have had, and we love Indian food. I had the mango lassi and the veggie Korma, both were fantastic. The best Korma I’ve ever had. We shared the Gobi Manchurian, also great. The coconut Naan was to die for. Great attentive service and the music was great also. If I ever come back here this will be my first stop.

Wife and I are used to exceptional Indian food since we live in a big Texas city. This place is borderline acceptable but is the type of Indian place that gives Indian food a dubious reputation. The menus stank…. Literally. The butter chicken was fine but rather tasteless and overly sweet. The naan was good and the raita acceptable. Those of you who have had a delish lassi elsewhere should just pass on the one here. Might as well pass on this one completely TBH. Nice place though. Shame about the 2000 colones service charge.
