I’ve passed by this little sushi/ramen place plenty of times and finally decided to give it a try. It’s a small restaurant, but service was quick and efficient, which we appreciated since we just needed a fast meal. Unfortunately, the food itself was pretty mid, nothing really stood out or left a lasting impression. It got the job done for a quick bite, but that’s about it. Overall a one-and-done for me.

The most AMAZING new sushi spot just opened in HB. It’s called Kiwami Ramen although I’ve never had their ramen Their sushi is sooooo delicious, chefs and staff are actually Japanese and so deeply care for the culture and authenticity. You can get rare Japanese beers here that I’ve never seen anywhere else. And they have a cool cash back program too so I always feel like I’m getting a deal.
Please come support this small business so that they’re super successful and stay forever! Currently my favorite restaurant!!

Yuzu Shio Ramen is very tasty! It’s refreshing with slight yuzu fragrance. It goes perfectly with Chashu, which is said to be made from cherry blossom pork. It tastes soft and glutinous. It’s the best Chashu I’ve ever tasted. The mango shochu cocktail is also very amazing! They also have a lot of very unique Japanese sake. I definitely will come back again and try other ramen in near future. Already recommended to my friends!

Fresh, tasty and friendly is how I would describe this establishment. We went during their soft open, so if this was any indication of what was to come, I can safely state it was excellent. The husband had ramen (not pictured) and it was yummy.

Everything I had was stellar – exceptionally fresh and very flavorful. The staff is very kind and the space has a fun vibe. They have a great selection of Japanese beers and other fun novelty items. The Ramen was one of the best I have had anywhere!

I was really disappointed with my order today.
The rolls were falling apart and honestly looked like simple cucumber rolls.
The ramen also wasn’t good — the noodles tasted like cheap instant noodles, not restaurant quality.
Definitely expected better

They serve very authentic Japanese foods! The ramen soup isn’t salty nor greasy, and the broth is very clear & clear with comforting flavor. The quality of Sashimi is excellent! I heard that the Japanese executive chef also runs Michelin listed sushi restaurant in Newport Beach. Today, I had Teishoku lunch, and I chose Chicken Namban & Saba. I highly recommend both!!

Delicious sushi and ramen, so glad they finally opened here in HB.
The place is designed well, kitchen is open to full view which is great so you can see how clean and professional it is.
The staff are great!
The sushi is a bit pricey but delicious (will update the review when I find out if it’s farm raised or wild caught)
Ramen is delicious.

I have tried about 100 Ramen restaurants in California & even in LA. So far, Kiwami is, in my opinion, the best. Specifically, the broth. I would recommend the Tonkotsu! Also, all the staff are very friendly and welcoming. 5/5
