The server Brian and Tommy were great! They were super friendly, on point and had great local recommendations.
I am a big pizza guy and when I tell you they have the best pizza I have ever had, I mean it!
The Down on the Farm is to die for, and for an app the Shrimp and Shishtos peppers were beyond amazing .
The food is outstanding — truly top to bottom. Every appetizer we tried was excellent, and the shiitake truffle pizza is next-level (don’t miss it). You can tell real care and creativity go into the menu.
The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and family-friendly, making it great for locals, visitors, foodies, and anyone coming off the mountain. Melissa and Josh, the owners, were both there and are the heart of the place. Melissa was running the bar, and her personality completely lights up the restaurant. The entire staff was friendly, attentive, and brought great energy — you can tell they genuinely enjoy being there, which makes the experience feel relaxed, genuine, and welcoming from start to finish.
Whether you’re a skier looking for the perfect après spot, a local searching for a go-to neighborhood restaurant, or visiting Vail with friends or family, A’pres Cafe is a must. Huge kudos to the owners for doing such an incredible job — this place is a gem.
It’s amazing to have a new spot in East Vail and I couldn’t be happier for the owners!
And the meal? Well, it’s beyond words, but pictures might aaalmost do it justice. A beautiful orchestration of incredible combinations of flavor in each different course made for an incredibly exciting and enjoyable meal.
I cannot enough express how much of a pleasure it is to see the people I love most in life flourishing in their passions, and having an opportunity to share and appreciate their art and skill with other loved ones, but please do yourself a favor and stop by the Apres Cafe to treat yourself whenever you have a moment. Because as Mike always says, “Only the best for the best of people,” and when you’re in his dining room, you’re always the best of people, and you’re truly in for a treat.
Thank you, Apres Cafe and keep killing it. I can’t wait to see where this place goes!
The ownership of Apres Cafe just changed this summer and now the front of house (and likely kitchen) seems transitioned to all new staff. Menu is the same but food we had was many steps down. Had fish on fries basket. The fries (now waffle) were quite overcooked and basically hollow in center. It used to come with regular fries and certainly not overcooked. The fried cod was dark brown and also quite overdone. Some meat remained but the dish did not even seem like same raw ingredients as in the past. A Salad was fine. Unfortunately things seem more akin to bar food or on mtn dining currently. But such is life.
I will try again in the winter when the new ownership has time to put their mark on our local spot as things may just be in transition. Fingers crossed.
