Greeting was warm.
Atmosphere is nice.
Waitress not a people person. Customer service skills were unpleasant.
Food ok. Disappointed because I paid $100 plus this place automatically add the tip into your bill. No questions asked. All of this for birria steak tacos, enchiladas and $14 Pina Colada. The rice was oily and salty. The salsa and chips were the best thing I ate.

If you want the experience, I would recommend you try this place out. If you want flavorable food, I suggest finding a different place.

Unfortunately, looks can sometimes be deceiving.

10 out of 10 experience our serve, Kevin was great and attentive, even though he had a lot of parties. It was perfect. The food was so seasoned. My man got the ribeye you cooked medium I will say that it was kind of too chaaard on the bottom like some pieces were well done and some pieces were medium well and medium throughout the steak so I would just say they could cook the medium steaks better in the future still very flavorful , I got some chicken and Shrimp dish. The rice was so seasoned. The drinks were so strong the passionfruit margarita was nice also ordered a side car with some bourbon they made that so well I had such a great time and it’s so cute

Overall Casa Tequila is a very nice place to dine. I had one of the best steaks I ever had in my life. Astetically, the decor is warm and vibrant and gives a welcoming feeling. With that said, we waiting 7 minutes at the door with out any greeting from the hostess or staff. They were probably at 50% capacity at this time. We had to get the bartenders attention and they were so nonchalant and told us to wait for the hostess. Hostess came, no greeting just took us to a table. But our waiter was on top of everything! Tip is built into you bill even for a table of 4.

This place is super cool and chill. We stopped for drinks before the Bulls game tonight. Tony was are bartender and he is an absolute rock star. His drinks were made perfectly and his suggestion on a sipping tequila blew my mind. We did have chips and salsa. Chips were served warm which I absolutely appreciate. Salsa was ok. Coming back for steak, Tony’s suggestion.

Tik tok may have or may not have been a slight factor of coming here.. But highly disappointed…. from the start I felt judged and rushed to order. I wanted the tomahawk which I thought was popular but they didnt even have the $110 steak. Service definitely could have been better than I was given…

The atmosphere seemed very good for a celebration when we were initially booking but the food was disappointing.
The food was over cooked and overly salty and the desserts were clearly pre-bought and not very good

I went twice in eight days because the food was so good! The first time was on a Saturday evening and the place was packed, low lights and great music. I was happy they had one open table left as I walked in. I had the grilled chicken salad and added steak. It was so flavorful and grilled to perfection. Then I came back on Sunday afternoon and the vibe was more chill. I’m sure it had plenty to do with the rain. I had two chicken tacos and a beef taco. The chicken was my favorite. I tried my friend’s bean enchilada and ended up eating it all. Topped it all off with a red sangria! Needless to say I’ve made reservations to go back! Lbs! My server Kevin was the best!

Casa Tequila Chicago: A Mixed Plate of Flavors and Service
Casa Tequila in Chicago offers a vibrant atmosphere that initially promises an authentic Mexican dining experience. Stepping inside, the decor is inviting, creating a lively backdrop for a meal with friends or family.
On the culinary front, the restaurant truly shines. The food at Casa Tequila is undeniably good, delivering on flavor and portion size. From classic tacos to more elaborate entrees, each dish we sampled showcased fresh ingredients and satisfying preparation. The guacamole was a particular highlight, fresh and perfectly seasoned, hinting at the quality of the main courses.
However, the experience was tempered by the service, which was merely “okay.” While our server was polite, there was a noticeable lack of attentiveness and promptness. Drink refills were slow, and it took a bit longer than ideal to get their attention for requests. It wasn’t poor service, but it certainly didn’t elevate the dining experience.
The biggest letdown, unfortunately, came from the drinks. Despite the restaurant’s name, the margaritas and other cocktails we tried fell short. They lacked the vibrancy and balance one expects from a dedicated tequila establishment, often tasting watered down or overly sweet. This was a significant disappointment, especially given the expectation of quality beverages.
In summary, Casa Tequila is a decent spot for a tasty Mexican meal in Chicago, boasting a good kitchen. While the service is acceptable, and the drinks leave much to be desired, the appealing food does make it worth a visit if you prioritize flavor over a flawless bar experience.

Celebrated my boyfriend birthday here along with his family. The seating we got was probably the worst table available, we were right outside of the Kitchen, very tight seating & very loud. The service was fantastic, everyone was very kind & welcoming. The food was not as great as we had heard it was but it was still enjoyable, but the quality definitely did not match their insane prices. The drinks were really good & strong enough to have the birthday girl on the table next to is fall all over the place (lol) Overall, I would probably go again but not to indulge in expensive dishes because I don’t think they were that great for the fees.

Me and My Family love this place, it’s really our favorite restaurant. The service is Amazing, the Frozen Margaritas were My favorite when I did drink Liquor. The Carne Asada Meal is THE BEST, Barria Tacos are very Good, the Chips are always fresh and the salsa is very good. Service has never been a issue for us. Would Highly Recommend!
